It is still winter and the garden looks a little bit empty. We tried several times to have flowers in winter too in the garden by planting Helliborus, but each time we had a very warm Summer those plants died... So we have a short period of no flowers in the garden and wait each year patiently until the snowdrops peak there little heads above the ground and show there super beautiful delicate flowers. And then, just when you're not expecting it, it happens; they are there, beautifully displayed!
Now I just have to try and make them look their best on paper... I tried this with watercolor paper, ink and water:

A shame your Hellebores didn't make it, may be as simple as them not liking the soil, we have some plants like that. Happy our Hellebores are making a good show this year. But you Lavinia bell flowers are looking very pretty, pleased you shared them at Allsorts, thank you.

Beautiful snowdrops, Gerrina. Our snowdrops in the garden didn’t bloom this year, plenty of leaves, but no flowers.

Jammer dat de Helleborus niet wilde, maar bloemloos ben je gelukkig niet. De sneeuwklokjes zijn bij ons al langer boven en bloeien uitbundig. Hoop bij jou ook snel.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery soft and pretty. Thanks for sharing with us at Beautiful Blossoms :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a fun way to add flowers in your life! If they won’t grow, paint them! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful CAS card with us at The Krafty Chicks Challenge! So nice to see you in the gallery.

It's always a joy to see those first blooms appear, they aren't blooming yet over here but hopefully in a week or two. Your card is so beautiful, I really like the watercolor background for the snowdrops.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks so much for sharing at Allsorts and so nice to see you back at my Garden Party!
I love snowdrops and this is a delightful card. Sorry the Hellebores didn't make it, I have had mine over 30 years and they just keep coming up, lucky for me. Thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful watercoloring!! I love that you chose to feature the Snowdrops! So pretty! You did an amazing job painting them. I love flowers, but I just don't have the talent to keep them alive. So I appreciate wild flowers :) Thank you for joining our Beautiful Blossoms challenge this month. We appreciate your entries and love to see your creative inspirations! We look forward to seeing more of your beautiful art! ~ Amanda
