Een nat weekend hier en zeker gisteren leek het hier meer op een herfstdag dan op een zomerdag; grijs en de hele dag door nat... Vanmorgen leek het erop dat vandaag een herhaling zou worden, maar het klonk anders buiten: door mijn open raam hoorde ik een vriendelijk en rustgevend gestaag geluid van zacht vallende regen dat me een meer relaxed gevoel gaf dan een van onze drie waterornament in onze vijver me ooit gegeven heeft. En dus startte mijn dag vandaag in een "Zen"-mode...
Gisteren heb ik de eerste van de twee kaarten hieronder gemaakt en vandaag dus de tweede. Het is hier de laatste zondag van de zomer- schoolvakantie en dat geeft een melancholisch gevoel; het is bitterzoet dat we nog maar een aantal uren daarvan over hebben, maar het voelt goed weer midden in de hectiek van ons 'normale' leven te duiken...

Yesterday I made the first of the cards down below and today the second one. It is here the last day of the summer- schoolholidays and that gives a bit of a melancholisch feeling. It is bittersweet that we are left with only a few hours of that, but it feels good to dive into the middle of the hectic "normal' life again...

From her expression, I don't think she's looking forward to going back to school! In the UK the children don't go back to school until the beginning of September, so they have a couple more weeks to enjoy the sunshine..... if it decides to reappear!

I think I might have the same elephant stencil, but mine looks somewhat larger. I never used it though, really need to put that on my list.

Ik ben alweer meer dan een maand aan het werk dus weet al niet beter meer maar voor jullie succes met het oppakken van alles weer!
