Gezicht met PanPastel / Face with PanPastel

Vandaag beloofd een heel warme dag te worden, dus zoek ik verkoeling in de tuin en wie weet ook nog in mijn hobbykamertje. Gisteren heb ik dat niet gedaan, maar ben ik samen met Josje met PanPastel aan de gang gegaan aan de grote keukentafel. En ondanks het vele babbelen, heb ik toch nog 2 pages kunnen maken... Op mijn "nog eens doen"-lijstje stond met PanPastel gezichten oefenen en dat is dus ook een van de dingen die ik gedaan heb:

Today the forecast is a verry hot day, so I look for some chilling in the garden and I might go into my craftroom aswel. Yesterday I didn't do that; instead Josje and I worked with PanPastel at the big kitchentable. And even if we have talked so much, I was able to finish two pages... On my "to do"-list was to practice faces with PanPastel and that is one of the things I did:

CaS in het weekend 299 / CAS in the weekend 299

Een heerlijk week hebben we gehad; heerlijk zonnig en droog; niet te warm om niets te kunnen doen, dus, ondanks een enkel die ik pijnlijk heb omgezwikt, was het lekker genieten! En daarna een iets natter maar warm weekend waar wij van genoten hebben. Zoveel dat ik pas op zondag begonnen ben om iets in CaS-stijl te maken en ze vandaag heb afgemaakt.
Het is alweer voor de 299ste keer dat ik een CaS in het weekend heb gemaakt! Je zult wel gemerkt hebben dat ik in de zomertijd niet elk weekend een CaS in het weekend post, maar de 300ste ga ik zeker wel halen! Ik twijfel en weet nog niet of ik er daarna nog mee doorga; 300 is al zo heel veel...
Maar goed, met het raam van mijn hobbykamertje open en afwisselend het geluid van fluitende vogels, spelende kinderen en wat fijne muziek op de achtergrond was het heerlijk deze CaS-kaarten te maken:

A lovely week we had; sunny and dry weather, not too hot so you can't do a thing, so, inspite of an ankle that I writhe in a pinful way, it was a week to enjoy! And after that the a bit wetter but warm weekendn wich we enjoyed so much. We enjoyed it so much, that I only started sunday to make something in the CAS-style and have finished it today.
It is my 299th time CAS in the weekend! You will have noticed that, in the summertime, I don't post a CAS in the weekend each weekend, but that 300th one I will make! I don't know if I will keep posting them after that; I am in doubt and 300 are so many of them...

Deze week de derde en laatste keer van deze maand. Het is voor mij ook een hele speciale keer; het is de dertigste keer dat ik Gast Designer mag zijn, waarvan een heel aantal keren als lid van het Gast Designerteam! Ik blijf dat heerlijk vinden om te doen.  Ik ben fan van hun mooie stempels, dus die zie je zeker nog wel vaker hier... Alcohol transfer 1

Afgelopen donderdag ben ik weer bij Josje geweest om samen iets nieuws uit te proberen. Deze keer een techniek die we gezien hadden in een van de filmpjes van Tracy voor Lavinia. Maar, daarvoor hadden we de refill van de alcohol liftinkt nodig naast alcoholinkt, blendingsolution, een brayer en papier...en die refil was nergens terug te vinden...tja, die van mij lag thuis lekker in z'n bakje, maar daar hadden we nu niks aan... Die refil komt vast weer boven water als Josje er totaal niet naar op zoek is; dat gebeurt mij ook nog al 'ns (zeker als ik opgeruimd heb). Herkenbaar denk ik? En na twee keer alles checken hebben we geprobeerd of deze techniek ook met alleen een brayer met daarop alcoholliftinkt vanaf het inktpad gedaan kon worden. Het ging niet en toch gaf het een mooi effect. Het yuppo-blad waarop ik de alcoholinkt geblend had gaf wel twee mooie transfers. Dus had ik zo 3 fijne achtergronden om op te stempelen... Maar natuurlijk konden ook de Yuppo-achtergrinden goed gebruikt worden! Hieronder vind je de 1e:

Last Thursday I spent again an afternoon with Josje to try something new. We wanted to try a technique that we saw in one of Tracy's video's for Lavinia. But, for that we needed the alcoholliftink refil next to alcoholink, blendingsolution, a brayer and paper... and that refil was nowere to be found... tja, mine was laying at my home in it's little tray, but that didn't help us... That refil will pop up by the time Josje isntlooking for it at all, I'm sure; that happend to me sometimes (for sure after tidying up). Recognizable I think? And after checking everything twice we tried if this technique would work with just a brayer with alcoholliftink from the inkpad. It didn't, but it still gave a nice effect. The yuppo paper on wich I blended the alcoholink gave two nice transfers. So I ended up with three fine backgrounds to ink on...And I could use the Yuppo-backgrounds too! Below you can see the first one:

Geschilderde boom / Painted tree

Twee weken geleden kwam Josje weer bij mij om lekker te kletsen, maar natuurlijk ook weer iets heel anders te proberen. Deze keer zouden we in ieder geval geen schone handen over houden; dat stond van te voren al vast! (en dat is dus ook niet gelukt) We zijn aan de slag gegaan met een paar verftechnieken van Jay Lee en hebben weer een heerlijke middag gehad.
Dit is een van de andere twee nog die ik gemaakt heb.

Two weeks ago Josje came again to talk, but ofcourse aswell to try something totally different again. This time we knew upfront that our hands wouldn't stay clean; that was one thing we new for sure! (and they didn't stay clean!) We tried a few paint-techniques from Jay Lee and had so much fun that afternoon.
This is one of the other two that I made.

Een weekend met zon en regen en niet al te warm, dus lekker actief gestart met een echt late nacht op vrijdag en een wat latere start vandaag... Ergens aan het einde van de middag kon ik er tussenuit 'piepen' en ben ik een tijdje in m'n eigen 'bubble' gaan zitten en er met deze weer uitgekomen:

Nog wat theekoppen / Some other teacups

Vandaag weer een kaart gemaakt met stempels van Crafty Individuals. Ik blijf even bij theekoppen, maar nu een hele andere mooie oudere stempel uit de grote collectie van Crafty Individuals. Wel gecombineerd met een van de nieuwe Mixed Media stempels. Deze keer heerlijk gekleurd met pastelpotloden en natuurlijk een beetje gemengd en als laatste gefixeerd.

Today again a card made with stamps from Crafty Individuals. I stay with the teacups, but this is a different, beautiful olser atamp from the big Crafty Individuals collection. I did combinate it with one of the new Mixed Media stamps. I had so much fun colouring this with paste; pencils and mixed the colours a bit and fixate them at the end.

Deze week de eerste. Ik maakte een grungy collage van stempels uit 2 sets op een kaart van een van mijn Art Journals.

This week the first. I made a grungy collage with stamps from two stampsets on a card from one of my Art Journals.

Zomer boom / Summer tree

Afgelopen vrijdag kwam Josje weer bij mij om lekker te kletsen, maar natuurlijk ook weer iets heel anders te proberen. Deze keer zouden we in ieder geval geen schone handen over houden; dat stond van te voren al vast! (en dat is dus ook niet gelukt) We zijn aan de slag gegaan met een paar verftechnieken van Jay Lee en hebben weer een heerlijke middag gehad.
Zelf vond ik deze het beste resultaat, later volgen de andere twee nog die ik gemaakt heb.
Deze is nog niet in een lijst gedaan of in een Art Journal geplakt, dus is het papier een beetje gebogen.

Last Friday Josje came again to talk, but ofcourse aswell to try something totally different again. This time we knew upfront that our hands wouldn't stay clean; that was one thing we new for sure! (and they didn't stay clean!) We tried a few paint-techniques from Jay Lee and had so much fun that afternoon.
This is my best one,  the other two that I made will follow in a later post.
This one hasn't been framed jet or glued into an Art Journal, so the paper is a little bit bent.

CaS in het weekend 297 en boek 9 / CAS in the weekend 297 and book 9

Afgelopen week was het niet zo warm en, (hoe geniet onze tuin daarvan!) heeft het bijna elke dag wel even geregend. Vandaag begint met regen en het lijkt een heerlijk weekend voor stempels, stencils en kleur te worden! Dus op tempo een boel gedaan en daarna heerlijk aan de slag gegaan in de CaS-stijl! Ik heb er de kleine dametjes voor in m'n boek ook maar weer eens bij gepakt, want mijn boekje is nog lang niet vol:

Last week it wasn't as warm, and (how the garden just loves that!) it has rained a bit almost every day. Today it started with rain and it looks like it is going to be a good weekend for stamps, stencils and colour! So I did some things in a good pace and after that I had a good time making things in CAS-style! I took the little ladies for my little book out, because the book isn't full jet:

Zij een beetje ouder / she a bit older

Gisteren hebben we een heel speciale diploma-uitreiking van onze dochter mogen meemaken. Niet op school, want daar zijn ouders op het moment niet welkom, maar in het kasteel van Heeze, waar andere jaren het Gala van de school gehouden werd. Het was anders dan anders, maar heel mooi als afsluiting van weer een grote periode in het leven van onze dochter.
Ook vandaag heb ik geen stempel als basis gebruikt, maar een foto. (net als hier) De foto is door mijzelf gemaakt en bewerkt en is fijne herinnering aan weer een dierbaar moment.
Ik heb de foto met kleurpotloden gekleurd.

Yeaterday we were at the very special graduation from our daughter. Not in the school, because parents aren't allowed in there at the moment, but at the Castle in Heeze, the place were other normaly the school Gala is. It was different as normal, but a very beautiful closure of another big period in our daughter's life.
Today again I didn't use a stamp as a base, but I used a photo. (Just like I did here)The photo is made and altered by ne and is again a fine memory of a precious moment.
I coloured the photo with colour pencils.

Time Out # 165 vroeger / Days gone by

De twee weken van de TIME OUT Challenge zijn weer voorbij gevlogen, dus hebben we vandaag weer een nieuwe uitdaging voor je!
Deze keer dagen we je uit om iets te maken geïnspireerd doorde tekst: "Days gone by".
Ik heb daar even over moeten denken. Ik kwam uit op hoe ik in de tijd tussen het hoofdzakelijk maken van fotoboeken en het voornamelijk stempelen mijn embossingfolders het meest gebruikte. In die periode embosste ik een stuk papier en gebruikte dat als achtergrond voor uitgestanstte dingen om mee te scrappen. Tegenwoordig gebruik ik de embossingfolders en de  ge-embosste stukken papier op veel meer en andere manieren...

I had to think about that for a while. I thought about the time between making just photobooks and getting into mostly stamping and how I used embossingfolders in that time just for making backgrounds for some diecut other things all just for scrapping. Now I use my embossing folders and the embossed pieces in so many more and different ways...

Theekoppen 2 / Teacups 2

Vandaag nog een kaart met de mooie nieuwe theekoppen stempel van Crafty Individuals. Ik vind dit echt een gezellige en warme stempel! Deze keer heb ik de stempel afgedrukt op een achtergrond met warme kleuren en nog een keer op een apart stuk aquarelpapier dat ik met heel andere kleuren heb ingekleurd en erop geplakt heb. Ik vond het contrast zo mooi...

Today another card with the beautiful new teacups stamp from Crafty Individuals. I think this is such a cozy and warm stamp! This time I stamped the stamp on a background in warm colours and again on another pice of aquarelle paper and coloured that with totally different colours and glued on it. I like the contrast so much...
