De twee weken van de TIME OUT Challenge zijn weer voorbij gevlogen, dus hebben we vandaag weer een nieuwe uitdaging voor je! 

Deze keer dagen we je uit om iets te maken geïnspireerd door de quote: "De beste tijd om een boom te planten was 20 jaar geleden. De op een na beste tijd om een boom te planten is nu". 

Ik maakte ook deze keer weer een Art Journal Page voor een van mijn Art Journals en was blij dat ik daarvoor een van mijn mooie bomenstempels kon gebruiken.

Zomer Challenge 58+59 / Summer Challenge day 58+59

Weer een 2-tal kaarten gemaakt voor de Zomer Challenge. 

Heel langzaam komen we aan het einde van 2 maanden lang elke dag iets maken op de grootte van een correspondentiekaart. Het is leuk om met prompts te werken, maar ze gooien je af en toe ook een heel eind buiten je comfort-zone doordat je geen stempels of stencils hebt die op de prompt slaan en je dus andere dingen moet verzinnen...

Dat was ook het geval bij deze 2 van vandaag; ik heb niets wat met quilten te maken heeft, maar ben in mijn stempelmappen en tussen mijn houten stempels gaan zoeken en heb wat stempels van stiksteken gevonden. Die heb ik gestempeld over de stof van de plaklinten die ik gebruikte. Bij de 2e wist ik eerst ook niks en ben ik toen nagegaan wat ik echt vies vind en kwam ik uit op koffie... dat heb ik dus heel simpel op de kaart verwerkt...

Slowly we come to the end of this 2 moths daily challenge of making something on a piece of paper as big as a post card. It is fun to work from prompts, but sometimes they get you a whole lot out of your comfort-zone because I don't have stamps or stencils that go with the prompt and you have to think of other things...

That was also the case with the first one that I show you today; I don't have anything that is about quilting, but I took a surch trough my stampbinders and wooden stamps and found some stich-stamps. I stamped these on top of the fabric from the sticker-fabric-ribbon that I used. On the 2nd one I had no idea, so I went on thinking about things I really think are aweful and find myself thinking of coffee... that is what I put on my card in a simple way...

He fijn dat het weer maandag is; het weer afgelopen weekend was te gek; zonneschijn, grijs, regen, hagel en donder en bliksem; we hadden het allemaal! Misschien dat het deze verdere week wat eenvoudiger word...

Ik heb weer een 2-tal kaarten gemaakt voor de Zomer Challenge. 

Voor de eerste was het weer echt hard nadenken, want een stempel of stencil met een inktvis heb ik dus niet... tot deze tentakelstempel mij te binnen schoot... Leuk toch om daar deze kleine stempels van allerlei dames bij te gebruiken?

De 2e was een snel bedachte, maar langzaam uitgevoerde; de stempel van de eekhoorn is net nieuw uit en heb ik dus ook maar net én ik wilde 'm zo snel mogelijk gebruiken... Dus moest de eekhoorn wel hoog in een boom aan een tak in de wolken hangen...

I made 2 cards for the Summer Challenge again. 

For the first one I had to think hard, because I don't have a stamp or stencil of an octopus... But then this tentacle stamp dropped in my mind... I thought it would be fun to use the little ladies stamps with it.

For the 2nd one the idea was a quick one; The squirrel stamp is just new and just released, so I just got it and wanted to use it as quickly as possible... So the squirrel had to hang on a branch of a tree high in the clouds...

Op weer een donderdag zijn we natuurlijk verder gegaan met de Zomer Challenge, maar tussendoor maak ik met de spullen die ik daarvoor gebruik vaak ook een Art Journal Page of gewone kaart. Gewoon omdat ik dan alles bij de hand heb en/of  dat ik nog een idee heb met die spullen. En wat is er dan makkelijker dan die gelijk te maken? Zo is deze kaart/Art Journal Page ook ontstaan.

On another Thursday afternoon we made more days for the Summer Challenge. But, after making a day for that, I have the things out and laying on the table and often I make an Art Journal Page or a card with them. Just because I have all the things at hand that I need or just because I have another idea with them. And what is easier than making those right away? That is how this one was made.

Op een van de gezellige donderdagmiddagen had ik al zo veel voor de Zomer Challenge gemaakt, dat ik er even helemaal genoeg van had... Dus een achtergrond die ik pas gemaakt had door er een stencil op schoon te maken genomen en daar deze zomerse dames op gestempeld en ingekleurd...

In one of the fun Thursday afternoons I had made so many for the Summer Challenge, that I just had enough... So I took a background that I made a few days ago by cleaning a stencil on it and stamped some girls on it and coloured them.

Zomer Challenge 45+47 / Summer Challenge day 45+47

Weer een 2-tal kaarten gemaakt voor de Zomer Challenge. 

De eerste, de herfstkaart paste bij het weer van een week geleden, maar niet bij het weer van vandaag... Alhoewel er wel al bolletjes uitgesproten zijn van de blauwe druiven; hoop dat die het redden tot het voorjaar...

De 2e maakte ik met behulp van een onderzetter van Josje. Ja wij gebruiken echt van alles! Ik tekende 'm op 2 verschillende correspondentiekaarten, maakte van de ene een positief en negatief stencil en gebruikte de andere om m'n kaart te maken.

The first, the fall card suited the weather last week, but not the weather today... Although there have some blue grape hyacints that are peeping above ground in the garden... hope they will last until Spring...

The 2nd one is made with a coaster from Josje. Yeh we use all kinds of things! I draw around it twice on two postcards, made from one of them a positive and negative stencil and the other one I used as mythe background of  card.

Op een van de zomerse donderdagmiddagen was ik echt toe aan een 'break' met de prompts van de Zomer Challenge en wou ik eindelijk deze stempelsets gebruiken. Het idee zat al even in mijn hoofd en ik ben blij dat het nu daar uit is en op papier gezet...

Deze maand is de uitdaging bij Stamping Sensation een gestempelde hoofd element met de optie bloemen. En vandaag heb ik nog wat inspiratie voor je.

Ik ben benieuwd wat jij ervan maakt en zie je gestempelde kaart, AJ-Page of iets heel anders graag in de Stamping Sensation's 'gallery' terug!

Natuurlijk kon ik niet om alle bloemenstempels heen die ik heb... en natuurlijk had er een nog geen inkt gezien... dus die moest het vandaag worden! Deze keer heb ik blauw als hoofdkleur genomen en groen en geel in de achtergrond met her en der wat oranje accenten. Ik ben benieuwd wat jij van deze kaart/Art Journal Page vind...

I'm looking forward to see what you make and would love to see your card, AJ-Page or something else in Stamping Sensation gallery! Ofcourse I had to use one of the many flower stamps that I gave in my stash... and ofcourse there was ine that hadn't seen ink before... so that had to be the one that I am going to use today! This time I choose blue as the main colour and green and yellow in the background and orange for some accents. I am curious what your thoughts are about this one...
