Gemengde vormen / Mixed shapes

Was ik de vorige keer op donderdag al begonnen met het gebruiken van de (vouwblaadjes-) cirkels die ik al zolang in mijn hobbykamer heb liggen, deze keer nam ik ze mee naar Josje en sponsde door een soort Mid Century Modern stencil allerlei vormen op een gele. Ook de uit restjes gestanste katten kregen gesponsde vormen door weer een ander Mid Century Modern stencil te gebruiken. Dat alles moest op de 'print' die ik als vierde trok bij het schoonmaken van het stencil dat ik hier gebruikte. (de 1e 'print' vind je hier en 2e vind je hier, de derde hier). Eenmaal thuis heb ik er nog een tekst bij gezocht en dat was het...

On one of the last Thursday afternoons I started using the folding circles that I had in my stash for so long and I took them with me to Josje and used a yellow one here. I sponged through a Mid Century Modern stencil all kinds of shapes on that one. Even the already earlier from snippits cuted cats had to get this shapes sponged through jet another Mid Century Modern stencil. And all of that had to go on the 'print' that I made by cleaning a stencil I used here. (The first 'print' you can find here, the second one you can find here and the third here). At home I searched for a sentiment and that was it...

Ik zag dat er iemand op de oude FB-page van De Scrapheap een Zomer Challenge gaat doen, maar na 10 (!) Zomer Challenges gedaan te hebben heb ik besloten daar niet aan mee te doen. Dus ook voor mij dit jaar een keer een rustigere Zomer wat het maken van dingen betreft!

I saw that someone will run a Summer Challenge on the old FB Page of the Scrapheap, but after having done Summer Challenges 10 times (!), I decided not to particiapate.. So for me this year too it will be a bit quieter Summer in terms of making things!

Soms ben ik echt aan het zoeken naar een andere manier om een CaS-kaart te maken. Toen ik deze begon te maken wist ik welke stempels ik wilde gebruiken, dat er een streep op moest en dat ik niet op de standaard manier wilde kleuren...

Wat vind jij ervan?

Sometimes I really am searching for a different way to make a CAS-card. When I started with this one I new wich stamps I wanted to use, that there had to be a stripe on it and that I didn't want to colour in the standard way...

Dromerige zomerdag / Dreamy Summerday

De achtergrond die je hier ziet is weer gemaakt door een stencil op aquarelpapier schoon te maken. Dat stencil had ik bij deze collage gebruikt en dit is de eerste afdruk/print die ik daarvan 'trok'. (Je kan de 1e 'print' hier zien).

Natuurlijk wilde ik deze 'print' weer anders gebruiken en dus heb ik tussen de vele al gestanste afbeeldingen gezocht die ik naar deze warme donderdagmiddag bij Josje had meegenomen. En dit is het geworden; een dromerige en zomerse dag die, voor mij, echt bij deze week past:

The background that you see here is again made by cleaning a stencil on aquarelpaper. I used that stencil to make this collage and this is the second 'print' that I took from that stencil. (You can see the second print that I took here). 

Of course I wanted this one to look different, so I searched in the lots of already die-cit images that I took whit me on this warm Thursday afternoon at Josje. And this is what I made; a summery, dreamy day, wich really fits, for me, this week:

Schommelen / Swing

Oké en nu eindelijk iets heel anders met het thema Flower Festival dat de uitdaging deze maand is bij Lavinia. Natuurlijk kun je hiervoor nog heel andere dingen gebruiken van dat merk en dat is wat ik gedaan heb voor dit project. En ik heb meteen maar een paar van mijn nieuwste stempels van hen gebruikt. Soms moet je gewoon even goed bedenken of en welke stempels je van een nieuwe release zou willen gebruiken; ik heb ondertussen in de loop van jaren al best veel van hen verzameld...

Ik ben gewoon begonnen met stempelen en in zwart-wit zag het er al heel leuk uit, maar ik mistte toch wat kleur...

Oké and now something different with the Flower Festival wich is the theme from the challenge at Lavinia this month. Of course you can use so many more things from this brand for it and that is what I did with this project. And I used some of my new stamps from them. Sometimes you just have to think hard wich stamps you would use from a new release; I have collected a lot of them over the years...

I just started by stamping all and it looked fine in black and white, but I missed some color...

Beetje collage 2 / A little bit collage 2

Nadat ik de vorige keer een collage maakte / aan het scrappen ben gegaan met een aantal afbeeldingen die ik van Josje gekregen had (zie hier), kreeg ik precies hetzelfde blad met afbeeldingen bij een van mijn eigen bestellingen meegestuurd. (Ik snap nooit waarom ze een knipvel meesturen met een bestelling die toch duidelijk voor een stempelaar of stencillaar is). Toen ik dat zag moest ik als eerste heel erg lachen... en als 2e kreeg ik toen een idee om met precies dezelfde uitgeknipte afbeeldingen nog iets anders te maken. In plaats van de moderne achtergrond moest het nu iets meer sprookjesachtig worden, dus meer in de stijl die je zou verwachten bij zo'n afbeelding. Dit is het geworden en ik ben benieuwd wat jij ervan vind...

After the last time that I made a collage/was scrapping with a few images that I got from Josje (here), I got exactly the same paper sent to me with an order for me. (I don't het it why they sent a cutting sheet with a an order from someone who is clearly a stamper or stencilist). When I saw it the first thing I did was laugh a lot... and, second I got an idea to take exactly the same cut out images and make something different. In stead of the modern background it had to be somewhat more fairy tale-isch, so more in the style that you would expect with an image like this. This is what it has became and I am curious what you think of it...

De achtergrond die je hier ziet is weer gemaakt door een stencil op aquarelpapier schoon te maken. Dat stencil had ik bij deze collage gebruikt en dit is de tweede afdruk/print die ik daarvan 'trok'. (de eerste vind je later hier op het blog) En, nadat ik vorige week al een keer deze stempel liet zien, vond ik het leuk om een van mijn nieuwste (voor mij) stempels nog een keer te gebruiken.

The background that you see here is again made by cleaning a stencil on aquarelpaper. I used that stencil to make this collage and this is the second 'print' that I took from that stencil. (You can see the first one later here on the blog). After I used this (for me) new stamp here before, I just had to use it one more time.

Vazen in de tuin / Vases in the garden

Als je dan met een stel vazen-stencils en bloemenstempels aan de gang bent gegaan is het niet vreemd (tenminste dat gebeurt mij vaak) dat je nog meer ideeën om met die dingen te maken krijgt. En een van die ideeën heb ik dan ook nog op papier gezet.

Dus weer met de vazenstencils en wat bloemenstempels en meer aan de gang gegaan en dit kwam daar uit: 

When you make things with the vases-stencils and flower stamps it isn't so strange (at least that happens often to me) that you get more ideas to make with those things. So I put one of those ideas on paper. 

I used the vases stencils and some flower stamps again and more stamps and this is what I made:
