"Black ice" 3 / "Black Ice" 3

Even een "break" vanwege het hete zomerweer genomen...

Op een van de middagen met Josje hadden we met de 'black-ice'-techniek gewerkt en daarvan had ik nog steeds stukken liggen. Ik heb eindelijk een van deze deze stukken op een Art Journal Page verwerkt. Elke week maak ik een page in een van mijn Art Journals die die week voor mij weergeeft. Voor de week-page van deze week heb ik er nog veel meer dingen op gebruikt die ik in heel wat jaren verzameld heb om 'nog een keer' te gebruiken. Soms heb je dat het allemaal past...

On one of the afternoons with Josje we worked with the 'black-ice'-technique and from that afternoon I had still some pieces in my backgroundbox. I finally used one of the pieces on this Art Journal Page. For the week page from this week used so much more on it that I had gathered in several years to 'use sometimes'. Sometimes it all fits...

Na het opfrissen van mijn werkplekje had ik nog heel wat andere dingen te doen, zodat het alweer heel wat dagen later was voor ik met papier en kleur aan de gang ben gegaan om de volgende 3 dagen/prompts die nieuw zijn én die ik leuk vond te maken. Tja je moet er gewoonweg van profiteren dat het iets koeler is en dus heb ik veel gedaan dat was blijven liggen tijdens de warmte.

Gelukkig had ik al wat dagen/prompts gemaakt vorige week donderdagmiddag. Ik heb er gewoon wat dagen/prompts uitgepikt die ik leuk vond en waar ik zin in had om mee aan de slag te gaan... 

Dat betekend dat je de dagen lekker door elkaar zult vinden in verschillende posts...

After refresshing my workplace I had to do a lot other other things, so it was a lot of days later before I started working with paper and color to make the next days/prompts that are new and that I liked. Tja, when it is colder you just have to profit and do a lot of the the things that you didn't managed to do when it was so hot...

Luckely I had made some days/prompts last thursday afternoon. I just took some of them that I liked and wich I wanted to make. So you will find the days/prompts totally mixed up in different posts...

CaS in het weekend 353 Vaderdag / CAS in the weekend 353 Fathers day

Het is Vaderdag dit weekend, dus ben ik aan de slag gegaan om 2 'mannelijke' kaarten te maken...

Niet altijd de makkelijkste kaarten, maar wel leuk om jezelf uit te dagen! Het is hier zo warm geweest de laatste dagen; gewoonweg te... Dus is het tempo van leven hier vertraagd en dwing ik mezelf niet te veel te bewegen als het niet hoeft en te genieten van het gezelschap, wat drinken en lekkers eten en een goed boek... De mannenstempels die ik heb gebruikt had ik al even geleden gekocht met het idee deze te gebruiken voor Vaderdag en dat is dus gelukt!

It is Fathers day this weekend, so I made two 'masculine' cards... Not always the most easy cards, but it is good to challenge yourself! It has been so warm here the last days; just too warm... So the lifes pace has got slower and I force myself not to move too much when I don't have to and enjoy the company, have a drink and good food and a good book... The mann stamps that I used were bought some time ago with the idea to use them on Fatherdays cards and that worked out fine!

Donkere herfst / Dark Autumn

Zoals ik al in de post hiervoor schreef heb ik de laatste keer op de donderdagmiddag geprobeerd met bleek op zwart papier te werken en mislukte dat toen, Dit is de andere poging, die ik toen maar met potlood heb ingekleurd. Wel wat donker, maar dat past ook wel nu het hier steeds korter licht is overdag...

As I wrote in the post before this one did I try a bleach-technique on black paper last thursday afternoon, but it failed. This is the other paper that I tried and ended up colouring with pencils. It is a bit dark, but he that fits these days on wich day-light is increasing every day...

Fijn dat jij hier weer komt kijken!
Wat een gaaf begin van het weekend hier gisteren; alleen maar zon en wat warme wind...dus een groot contrast als je op de fiets onderweg bent; tegen de wind in toch even doortrappen... Maar het was een echt warme herfstdag; je word vrolijk van de zon, het is warm en lekker op de fiets, de ene boom is nog helemaal groen en een andere al totaal verkleurd en het typische herfstgeluid van knappende eikels onder de banden van je fiets...wat kan een mens toch genieten! En vandaag een extra uur, waar ik ook goed gebruik van heb gemaakt... Dus je begrijpt dat ik veel buiten ben geweest en pas vandaag met het wat kouder en grijzer weer, tussen mijn stempels ben gedoken om wat te maken. Als verbindend element tussen deze 2 heb ik de rond gestempelde takjes gebruikt.

What a super start of the weekend it was here yesterday; just sun and some warm wind...so a great contrast riding my bike; you feel cheerful from the sun and you have to work to get against the wind... But it was a real warm autumn day; fun to ride your bike, enjoy the trees; some still all green and some totaly in autumn colurs and the typical autumnsound from cracking acorns under the bycicle tires...a real treat! And today a hwole extra hour, that I spent so well... So you can understand that I have been out as much as possible and that it took until the colder and more gray day this sunday that I spent some time with my stamps to make something. The binding elemant on these two are the  round-stamped twigs.

Jippie! Het weekend startte gisteren eens droog! Wat was ik daar aan toe na deze natte, regenachtige week! Maar, ook al is het droog en gaat later ook nog even het zonnetje schijnen en is het vandaag opeens een zomerse 20 graden, het is heerlijk om een tijd met inkt en stempels aan de gang te gaan. Ook dit weekend heb ik weer wat in de CaS-stijl gemaakt. En dit keer ben ik, nadat ik al heel wat collage-stempels heb gebruikt, zelf twee collages met stempels gaan maken. Ze zijn niet allebei even CaS geworden als ik voor ogen had, maar het was heerlijk om te doen1

Jippie! The weekend started dry yesterday! That was just what I needed after this so wet, rainy week! But, even if it is dry, and does the sun shines later on a bit and today it suddenly is like a summer day with 20 degrees, it felt good to work with ink and stamps for a while. This weekend again I made some projects in CAS-style. And this time, after stamping with so many collage-stamps the last months, I made my own stamped collages. They arem't all as CAS as I wanted, but it was great to make these!

Dit weekend is goed te zien dat het al herfst is; het waait en met die wind worden de regen spetters alle kanten op geblazen. En toch is er af en toe een scherp zonnetje dat af en toe door dat alles heen prikt... Echt een dag om wat tijd te maken om met inkt te spelen!
En dat heb ik dan ook gedaan. En meteen mijn nieuwste voornemen om meer van al de verschillende materialen die ik heb te gebruiken. Op de 1e brengen de stanzen de zon naar binnen en op de 2e naken we een sprong in de tijd met een tekst die ironisch bedoeld is...

This weekend the weather shows that  it is already autumn; the winf blows and with that wind the raindrops are blown in all directions. And still sometimes there is a bit of bright sunlight that pieks through that all... A good day to spent some time playing with ink!
And that was wath I did. And I gave my new intention of using more of the different materials and tools a go. On the first the die cut bring the sun inside and on the second we make a jump in the time with a text that is meant to be ironic...

Cas en Coins in het weekend 218 / Cas and Coins in the weekend 218

Vandaag beloofde het een heerlijke zonnige dag te worden...dus eerst lekker naar buiten... heerlijk zulke zomerdagen in september! En vanavond pas na het buiten eten en lekker natafelen iets nieuws geprobeerd.
Al eerder maakte ik ATC's (Artist Trading Cards), maar al even is er nu een rage van ATCoins (Artist Trading Coins). Het leek me gaaf eens te proberen wat ik kan op zo'n rondje en dus uitgeprobeerd. Het is even wennen, maar wel heel leuk!
Maar toen gingen mijn gedachten uit naar ATCoins en CAS...hieronder zie je ook daarvan het resultaat:

Earlier I made a lot ATC's (Artist Trading Cards), but at the moment it is a trend for some time to make ATCoins (Artist Trading Coins. They look like fun and I wanted to see what I could do on such a little round piece .

Weet je dat:
- Ik rustig kan zeggen dat dit de warmste Zomer Challenge is die ik gedaan heb!?
- Dit het 5e jaar op rij is dat ik alle 61 uitdagingen van de Zomer Challenge heb gemaakt?
- Dat dat er nu dus in het 305 totaal zijn?
- En dat ik ook ook de 2 opwarmertjes van dit jaar gemaakt heb? En die van de vorige jaren?
- Het heel leuk en heel afwisselend is elk jaar?
- Er weer maar een kleine groep enthousiastelingen is die, net als ik alle 61 uitdagingen gemaakt hebben?
-En dat juist die kleine groep ook het meest enthousiast was in het reageren op elkaars werk?
- En dat die groep steeds kleiner lijkt te worden? (En steeds bijna dezelfde groep mensen is?)
- Dat dat het leukste is aan zo'n hele grote lange uitdaging? Van elkaar leren en door elkaar geïnspireerd raken!
-Dat dat alles, én het feit dat dit de 5e zomer was waarin ik weer mijn andere projecten die ik nog heb liggen en graag eens zou willen afmaken, of maken wil, heb laten liggen verstoffen, de rede is dat ik dat ik me voorgenomen heb volgend jaar niet mee te doen aan een eventueel volgende Zomer Challenge?
-Dus dat ik hoop dat jullie er dit jaar weer van genoten hebben?
-En dat jullie vanaf nu weer andere projecten van mij hier zullen vinden...

Did you know:
- That I easily can say that this was the warmest Zommer Challenge that I did?
- This the Fifth year in a row is that I made all the 61 challenges of the Summer Challenge?
- That I made 305 in total?
- And that I also made the 2 warming ups from this year? And those from the last years?
- That it is so much fun and so versatile each year?
- There was again only a small groupe enthousiastics that made, just as I did, all 61 challenges?
- And that just that groupe was the most enthousiastic in comment to eachothers work?
- That that groupe seems to get smaller? (And everytime consists of allmost the same people?)
- That that is the most fun of this challenge? Learn from eachother and get inspired by eachother!
- That that all, and the fact that this was the fifth summer in wich I let other projects that I would like to finish, or projects that I would like to make, let getting catch dust, are the reasons that I plan not to take part next year as there maybe will be another Summer Challenge?
- So I hope you enjoyed all this year?
- And that from now on you can find different projects from me again here...

Gisteren heb ik een hele dag "me-time" gehad; al vroeg in de auto gestapt op weg naar Rotterdam om maar liefs vijf workshops te gaan doen bij de 10-jarige verjaardag van de Stampingcorner. Wat een feest; heerlijke workshops, nieuwe technieken en lekker buiten m'n comfortzone gewerkt! Maar nog veel belangrijker; weer heel veel bekenden gezien en het samen gezellig gemaakt met het kletsen en lachen. Ik was dan ook behoorlijk total-loss toen ik na weer een rit van 1,5 uur weer thuis was... Aan het einde van deze post vind je de resultaten van de heerlijke zaterdag die ik met heel vieze vingers heb doorgebracht...
Vandaag alweer niet rustiger; we hebben een druk weekend, dus gelijk vanmorgen wat dingen klaar gelegd om wat viooltjes en bladeren uit de tuin af te drukken. Was ik al de hele week van plan, maar het kwam er maar niet van. En uiteindelijk vandaag ook niet... Dus twee vrolijk gekleurde CaS-kaarten dit weekend:

Yesterday I had a full day filled with "me-time"; verry early I jumped in the car and drove to Rotterdan to follow five (!!!)classes at the Stampingcorner were they were celebrating their 10th birthday. It was a fest; great classes, new techniques and worked outside my comfortzone! But even more important; saw a lot stampingfriends and made it together a perfect day creating, talking and laughing. I was so "total-loss"when I came home after the 1,5 hour-drive... At the end of the post you find the results of a lovely saterday that I had, making my fingers so dirty :)
Today again a busy day; we have a bussy weekend, so early this morning I put all things together to "stamp" some violets and leafes from the garden. That is something I have been planning to do this week, but never got around to do it. And in the end it didn't today aswell... So two cheerfull coloured CAS-cards this weekend:
