Minder - meer workshop voorbeeld gekleurde gesso/ less - more class example coloured gesso

Deze Art journal Page maakte ik tijdens een middag workshop bij De Scrapheap een paar weken terug, om te laten zien hoe je gesso kleur kan geven om er zo mee te werken en hoe je het structuur kunt geven met glassbeads erin. De dames zijn er weer heel enthousiast mee aan de slag gegaan met mooie resultaten!
Toen ik thuiskwam had ik natuurlijk een aantal pages, elk met alleen maar een figuur erop. Tussen alles door heb ik die afgemaakt en dit is de eerste uit de serie:
I made this Art Journal Page in a afternoon class I teached at De Scrapheap a few weeks back, to show how to colour gesso and to work with it plus to show how to get structure into the gesso with glassbeads. The ladies were verry enthousiastic and the results where beautiful!
When I came home from the class I had a few pages whit the examples, each with only one image on it. In between all the other things I made, I finished each of them. and this is the first from the serie:

CaS op zaterdag 196 / CAS on saterday 196

Mijn PC start niet meer op, dus ben ik uitgeweken....Dat geeft wat problemen en door dit alles ben ik er gisteren er niet meer aan toe gekomen om wat te maken voor de CaS zaterdag. De PC-problemen zijn nog niet opgelost, maar ik heb wat ontspanning gezocht en heb een tijdje in mijn hobbykamertje doorgebracht... De 1e is een CaS-kaart in zwart-wit voor verschillende challenges en de 2e is een CaS spread in mijn Art Journal, waar ik steeds vaker in werk; kaarten heb ik al genoeg op voorraad en als ik hierin wat maak kan ik het op m'n gemak later nog eens terugkijken. Vaak maak ik een page of een spread die wat te maken heeft met de afgelopen week, iets wat ik zag of meemaakte...deze spread ben ik gestart als een voorbeeld tijdens een van mijn workshops bij De Scrapheap en is vandaag afgemaakt omdat de lente van de week begon...
My PC doesn't start anymore, so I now work a bit different as I normally do... That does effect my way of posting a bit and that made that I didn't get around to make something for CAS saterday. The problems aren't over jet, but I took some "me-time" and was in my craftroom for a while...
The first I made is a CAS card in black and white for a few challenges and the 2nd is a CaS spread in my Art Journal. I find myself working in it more and more; I have enough cards in my stash and when I make something in my journal I can look it back later. I often make a page or a spread that has something to do with the last week; somethiong I saw or something I did... This spread I started earlier as an example at a class I gave at the Scrapheap and I finished it today because Spring started this week...

Eenvoud / Simplicity

Met de Elegant writerpen kan je van alles doen en een van de dingen die ik ermee probeerde was om simpelweg de lijnen van een stencil te volgen en daarna met een waterpen deze uit te laten vloeien.  Deze twee zijn zo een hele tijd geleden gemaakt en ik had ze nog niet laten zien hier.  Ik vind ik ze super rustig en dat past wel bij het gevoel van een aantal van de laatste dagen, dus ze gaan zo mijn Art Journal in...
You can do so many things with the Elegant writerpen and one of the things I tried with t was to simply follow the lines of a stencil and then let the lines flow a bit with a waterpen. I made these two a long time ago and didn't show them here. I really like the serene look and that fits yhe feel' of some of the days of last week in, so they will go in my Art Journal like this...

Meer aquarel / More watercolour...

Tijdens de Make en Take op de Kreadoe heb ik natuurlijk ook een paar voorbeelden gemaakt. Van de drie die ik er overhield aan het eind van de dag heb ik gelijk kaarten gemaakt. En ik heb er weer washitape bij gebruikt...een van mijn voornemens van dit jaar was om alles meteen af te maken (lukt bijna altijd) en om meer washitape te gebruiken...dus bij deze twee dingen in een keer:
During the Make and Take at the Kreadoe I demonstrated a lot. From the three pieces that where left at the end of the day I made some cards. Just as my intention for this year was: finish all and on these I even used washitape, one of the things I wanted to use more this year....so these two intentions on all three:

Deze twee had ik vorige week vrijdag bij me als extra voorbeelden voor de Demo op de Kreadoe. De andere twee voorbeelden waren vrij licht en ik wilde laten zien dat je ook wat donker kan werken met de Elegant writerpen:
These two were the ones that travelled with me to the Demo I gave a t the Kreadoe last friday. The other two examples were very light and I wanted to show that you can make a darker card with the Elegant writerpen:

Vandaag eens geen stempel te bekennen op mijn Art Journal Page, maar iets uitgeprobeerd met de Elegant writer en een stencil. Een heel rustig resultaat...
Today there is no stamp to be seen on this Art Journal Page, instead I tried something different with the Elegant writer and a stencil. It gave a sereen result...
