Tsjonge, dat was een koud weekend! Vooral zaterdagnacht was het buiten bibberen... Niet wat je verwacht deze tijd van het jaar... Gelukkig zat ik binnen, net als afgelopen donderdag toen ik deze drie maakte. 

En net als eerder daag ik mezelf nog steeds meer uit door een (of meer) stencils en 2 kleuren te gebruiken in de achtergrond én een zwarte lijn op elk project te zetten én een van de achtergrondkleuren mee te nemen naar het volgende project...

Hoop dat je deze weer leuk vind!

Tsjonge, that was a cold weekend! Especially Saterday night you would shiver outsite... Not what you would expect this time of the year... Luckily I was inside, just like last Thursday when I made these three. And hust like before, I still challenge myself more by using one (or more) stencils and  colours in the background and putting a black line on each project and taking one of the background colours to the next project... Zomer Challenge AJ dag 21+22+23 / Summer Challenge AJ day 21+22+23

Vandaag weer drie dagen van de Zomer Challenge van Art Journey. De 1e maakte ik nog thuis en de volgenden heb ik op de weer gezellige donderdagmiddag gemaakt. 

Die donderdagmiddag had ik echt even nodig nadat wij woensdag de hele dag in een ziekenhuis waren omdat onze dochter geopereerd moest worden. Zij was als 1e ingepland en was al in de zaal voor de OK en 'geprepped' toen er eerst een en daarna nog een andere spoedoperatie voor gingen. Zij zat op die manier twee uur 'vast'. Gelukkig was er een mogelijkheid om haar telefoon bij haar te krijgen zodat ze een beetje afleiding had tijdens het wachten. Daarna liep natuurlijk hun hele schema hopeloos in de war en heeft ze nog heel lang moeten wachten tot ze de arts kon spreken en naar huis mocht... Dus i.p.v een vroege halve dag, waren we zo'n 10 uur in het ziekenhuis... Gelukkig is alles goed verlopen! Wij waren blij om 's avonds weer thuis te zijn...

Om de spanning van dat alles verder uit mijn lijf te krijgen was het heerlijk om een middag met stempels, stencils en kleur aan de gang te gaan, wat te babbelen en elkaar te inspireren onder het genot van een kop thee en een koekje...

En als je dan aan het eind van die middag een heel aantal projecten afhebt én weer lekker in je vel zit is het leven weer een heel stuk mooier!

Today again three days of the Art Journey Summer Challenge. I made the first one at home and the others on Thursday afternoon. 

I really needed that fun Thursday afternoon after spending Wednesday the whole day in a hospital because our daughter had to have an operation. She was scheduled to be the first that day and was already in the room before the OK and totally 'prepped' when one and then another emergency operation was done before hers. She was 'stuck' in this room for two hours. Fortunately there was a way to get her phone to her so she had some distraction while waiting. Of course their entire schedule got hopelessly mixed up and she had to wait 2,5 hours before she could speak the doctor and go home... So instead of an early started half day, we were in the hospital for 10 hours... Fortunately everything went well! We were so happy to be home again in the evening...

To get rid of the tension of all of this, it is wonderful to spent an afternoon with stamps, stencils and colour, chat and inspire each other while enjoying a cup of tea and a cookie... And when you have completed a number of projects at the end of that afternoon and you feel good again, life is a lot more beautiful again!

Een dame / A lady

Vaak kom ik er door de week niet aan toe om iets te maken, behalve natuurlijk op de gezellige donderdagmiddagen. Het is een beetje afhankelijk van waarmee ik werk of welke techniek ik gebruik of ik veel projecten maak op zo'n middag, maar op de donderdag dat ik dit stencil bij de nog af te werken Art Journal Page (zie hier) vond, kon ik er natuurlijk niet onderuit om dat stencil nog een keer anders te gebruiken. Dus heb ik door het stencil gesponst en daarna de schuine lijnen getekend. Het geheel op een geëmbost stuk papier geplakt en in een van mijn Art Journals geplakt.

Most of the time I don't have enough time to make something during the week, except on the Thursday afternoons. It depends on the material that I use or the technique that I choose if I make a lot of projects on that day, but the Thursday that I found this stencil together with a 'still-to-finish'-Art Journal Page (you can find it here), I just couldn't resist to use that stencil in a different way. So I sponged through the stencil and drew the lines and put it on a piece of embossed paper before I put it in one of my Art Journals.

In mijn 'nog af te maken'-doos kwam ik niet alleen deze achtergrond met daarop een dame in gesso tegen, maar ook het stencil waar ik dat mee had gedaan. Het is natuurlijk niet de bedoeling dat daar een stencil in blijft liggen, dus ben ik daar op een van de donderdagmiddagen mee aan de slag gegaan en heb het later in een weekend helemaal afgemaakt. Er is veel op door een stencil gesponsd, wat getekend en daarna een tekst erbij geplakt.

In my 'still-to-finish'-box I found this background with on it a lady in gesso, but also the stencil I used to do that. It is not suppose to happen that a stencil disappears in that box, so on one of the Thursday afternoons I did some work on this and finished this in a weekend. I sponged a lot through stencils, did some drawing and glued a text on it.

CaS in het weekend 383 / CAS in the weekend 383

Afgelopen week had de verkoudheid/griep die eerder onze dochter en mijn man al te pakken had gekregen mij eindelijk ook te pakken. Dus stond mijn energielevel deze week op een heel laag niveau... Ook de gezellige donderdagmiddag waar ik alweer naar uitkeek moest erdoor worden afgelast... Niet fijn, maar gelukkig heb ik alweer een groot deel van mijn energie terug. 

Vorige week bestelde ik een stans van een konijn. Ik zag 'm ettelijke keren voorbijkomen op verschillende blogs en kon 'm niet uit m'n hoofd zetten... Ik was aangenaam verrast dat deze al deze week binnen kwam, omdat vermeld was dat deze op z'n vroegst maandag binnen zou komen... Tja, en toen deze binnen was, wilde ik er ook meteen mee aan de slag.  Gelukkig kon ik tussendoor wel aan de slag met het uitstanzen ervan in verschillende soorten papier. Tja en dan moet dat ook gebruikt worden... Dus dit weekend heb ik er een van genomen om er een CaS-kaart mee te maken. 

En ik heb nog een andere kaart gemaakt om mee te doen aan een aantal uitdagingen.

Last week I had the cold/flue that had caught our daughter and hubby earlier; it finally cought up with me... So my energy level was on a verry low point... Even the lovely thursday afternoon wich I was looking for, had to be prosponed... No fun, but luckely by know I have a great part of my energy back at the moment.

Last week I ordered a die-cut of a bunny. I saw it on so manny blogs and couldn't get it out of my mind... I was so surprised that it was in my mail last week instead of the expected date somewhere from monday... Tja, and if you have something new like this in the house, you cannot use it  directly... Luckely I could die-cut a lot of the bunnies in different kinds of paper. And than you cannot leave it there, so I took one of them and made a CAS card with it.

And I made another CAs card for a few challenges.

Libelle / Dragonfly

Op een van de gezellige donderdagmiddagen gingen we met vormen als cirkels, ovalen, driehoeken, vierkanten of rechthoeken aan het spelen. Een stencil dat ik al heel lang heb, maar niet gebruikt, had ik hiervoor meegebracht. Na het sponzen heb ik voor deze nog gespatterd met 2 kleuren en daarna de tekst en libelle gestempeld en de libelle een beetje goud gekleurd en de vleugels nog extra glitter gegeven.

On one of the pleasant Thursday afternoons we played with shapes such as circles, ovals, triangles, squares or rectangles. I had brought a stencil that I have had for a long time, but not used, jet. After sponging I splattered with two colours and after that I stamped the text and the dragonfly nd I coloured a bit gold on the dragonfly and gave the wings a little bit glitter...

Dankjewel voor alle bemoedigende woorden over mijn schouder! Zal een zaak van de lange adem worden, maar de pijn is op het moment weer wat minder, dus als afleiding zoek ik m'n stempels graag op!
Vandaag een kaart net een stempel die ik al lang heb, maar waar ik lang geen idee voor had hoe ik 'm wilde gebruiken... Tot van het weekend er opeens een lampje begon te branden... Ben benieuwd hoe jij 'm zo vind?

Thanks for all the sweet words about my shpulder! It will take some time, but I'm glad the pain is a bit less at the moment, so it helps to take a dive into my stamps for some distraction!

En natuurlijk heb ik (ondanks de warmte in mijn hobbykamer) nog een paar andere CaS-kaarten gemaakt voor CaS in het weekend en natuurlijk de Zomer Challemge. Ik wou namelijk zo graag met mijn nieuwe stempels van Art Specially 'spelen'. Ik viste achter het net op het Art Specially Event n April, maar vorige week waren ze gelukkig op voorraad én ik was bij The Stamping Cottage...dus gingen er een aantal met mij mee naar huis...

Ofcourse I made (in spite of the warmth in my craftroom) some more CAS cards for CAS in the weekend and the Summer Challenge I was eager to play with my new stamps from Art Specially. On the Art Specially Event in Aprl they where sold out, but two weeks ago they where in stock again and I was at The Stamping Cottage...so some of them came home with me...

Vandaag de eerste dag van het Paasweekend! Enne het begint hier met een beetje regen...past wel helemaal bij April...vandaar dat mijn 1e Paas-CaSkaart van vandaag een regenachtige is. De 2e laat meer zien hoe ik de rest van het weekend zou zien, zodat iedereen er heerlijk van kan genieten!
Ik heb nog een 3e Paaskaart gemaakt, maar die zie je hier later.
Today the first day of the Easterweekend! And it starts here with a bit of rain...fitst the Aprilmonth totally...that is why my first Easter-CAScard is a rainy one. The 2nd shows more how I would like the weekend to be, so everybody can enoy it!
I made a third Eastercard, but will show that one in a later post.

De twee weken van de TIME OUT Challenge zijn weer voorbij gevlogen, dus hebben we vandaag weer een nieuwe challenge voor je! Als uitdaging hebben we deze keer weer een tekst voor je: "Give thanks with a greatfull heart". Dit is wat ik ervan maakte:
The two weeks of the TIME OUT Challenge are gone so quickly, so we have a new challenge for you starting today! The challenge this time is to make a card using the theme: "Give thanks with a greatfull heart". This is what I made:

Ik kon het niet laten de kleuren van de uitdaging bij de Duth Card Lovers te gebruiken; mijn lievelingskleuren! En de kaart te liften van de Liftchallenge. En als je dan ook nog ziet dat de uitdaging bij PaperArtsy is vierkanten en rasters en bij Clarity vierkanten en cirkels is, was mijn keuze om die stencils te gebruiken snel genomen!
I couldn't resist the colours from the challenge at the Duth Card Lovers; my favorite colours! And to "lift" the card at the Liftchallenge. And when I saw that the challenge at PaperArtsy is squares and grids and at Clarity to use squares and circkles my choice to use these stencils was a quick one!
