Soms is het leuk om alles heel simpel te houden... Dus gewoon een jongetje op een strook aquarelpapier stempelen en maskeren, de steiger stempelen, alles inkleuren en veel water tekenen en dan alleen maar een vel DP met een tekst erop gebruiken om het op te plakken...

Sometimes it is fun to keep everything very simple... So just stamped a boy on a piece of aquarelpaper, masked him and stamped the ramp, colored it all and drew the water, glue that on a piece of DP with a text...

Nog een keer een stencil schoongemaakt op een stuk aquarelpapier. Het stencil gebruikte ik hier. Deze gaf wel een mooi effect, maar ik vind 'm iets minder duidelijk. En omdat het zo vrolijk is, heb ik er alleen twee keer het houten woord 'happy' bijgedaan, nadat ik deze gekleurd had met 2 van de kleuren die ik ook gebruikt had voor het sponzen door het stencil.

Again I cleaned a stencil on a piece of aquarelpaper. I used the stencil here. This one gave a nice effect, but is a little bit less obvious. And, because it is a cheerful one, I just took two wooden words 'happy' and colored them with two of the colors that I used to sponge through the stencil.

Sterke dame / Strong lady

En alweer een achtergrond gemaakt door een stencil op aquarelpapier schoon te maken gebruikt... Dit was de 1e print van het stencil dat ik hier gebruikte.

Erop een sterke dame, een stempel die ik met grote korting ergens kon kopen. Gaaf toch als je een stempel best leuk vind, maar anderen leuker dus koop je 'm niet en je kunt 'm later met zoveel korting kopen dat je die alsnog aan je 'verzameling' stempels kunt toevoegen!

And again a background made by cleaning a stencil on aquarelpaper... This was the first print that I made from the stencil I used here.

On it a strong lady, a stamp that I could buy somewhere with big discount. Cool when you like a stamp, but you like others better so you don't buy it and you can buy it later with such a big discount that you can still add it to your 'collection' of stamps!

Biertje?/ Beer?

De verjaardagskaart voor de vriend van onze dochter, Hij houd van katten en een biertje en vanwege het lekkere weer heb ik lekker felle kleuren gebruikt. En lekker een stencil, 2 stanzen en 2 stempels samen gecombineerd...

En ik heb 3 keer een achtergrond/afdrukken kunnen maken bij het schoonmaken van het stencil dat ik hiervoor gebruikte. Je vind die hier en hier terug en de 1e achtergrond/afdruk komt later nog hier op het blog. 

The Birthday card for our daughter's boyfriend. He likes cats and beer and while it was delightful weather I used fun bright colors. And it was fun to combine a stencil, 2 die-cuts and 2 stamps together...

And I was able to make 3 backgrounds/prints while cleaning the stencil I used for this one. You can see them here, here, here and you you will see the first background/print later here on the blog.

Mijn moeder was deze maand jarig en natuurlijk wilde ik haar verrassen met rozen. Dit jaar met een groep bonte feestvierders op de achtergrond. De vaas en bloemen zijn stansjes die ik ook lekker fel kleurde.

My mother's Birthday was this month and of course I wanted to surprise her with roses. This year with a colorful group partying in the background. The vase and flowers are die-cuts that I colored with bright colors.

CaS in het weekend 472 / CAS in the weekend 472

En nog een keer een achtergrond gemaakt tijdens het schoonmaken van een stencil (ja ik ben echt een beetje verslaafd aan het maken van deze achtergronden...). Dit is de 3e print van het stencil dat ik voor een verjaardagskaart gebruikte (die laat ik later zien).

Deze vogels heb ik jaren terug gekocht en steeds maar niet gebruikt, maar met de neutrale kleuren van de vogels vond ik ze mooi uitkomen op de regenboogkleuren van de achtergrond. Weer geen tekst, maar dit geeft het gevoel van die week (gemaakt vorige week donderdag) goed weer...

And again a background made while I was cleaning a stencil. (think I am a bit addicted on making these backgrounds...). This is the third print from the stencil I used for a Birthday card (wich I will show later).

I bought these birds years ago and never used them, but with the neutral colors of the birds I thought they stoof out nicely against the colors of the background. No text again, but this shows the feeling of that week (made last Thursday) well.

My tribe

Nog een project dat ik 2 donderdagmiddagen geleden maakte. Ook hier heb ik weer een achtergrond gebruikt gemaakt bij het schoonmaken van een stencil. Deze achtergrond is de 3e print die ik zo maakte. Dit keer heb ik deze gecombineerd met een bomenstencil en een stempel uit de 'RongRong'-serie. Nog wat groene bladeren en gras gesponsd en 'my tribe' loopt zo door een park of bos...

This time I combined thia one with a treestencil and a stamp from the 'RongRong'-serie, I sponged some green leaves and grass so 'my tribe' walks through a park or wood...

Zonnebloemen 2 / Sunflowers 2

Nadat ik twee donderdagen geleden al met stencils van bloemen in een soort van vaas en DO aan de gang was gegaan, wilde ik proberen of deze techniek ook met DI gedaan kon worden.

Ik had nog een ander nieuw stencil, dit keer met zonnebloemen in een melkbus en dus heb ik die gebruikt. En ook met DI geeft deze techniek zo'n gaaf effect! Heerlijk om te doen en met twee andere dames uit dezelfde RingRong'-serie maakte ik ze ook nu weer af. Dit is de achtergrond waarbij ik het stencil op aquarelpapier heb schoongemaakt door er wat water over te sproeien en het aquarelpapier erop te leggen en eroverheen te wrijven. Dit is dus de 'negatieve' afdruk. (de eerste gewoon door het stencil gesponst vind je hier).

After I had already started with stencils of flowers in a kind of vase and DO two Thursdays ago, I wanted to try if this technique could also be done with DI.

I had another new stencil, this time with sunflowers in a milk can and so I used that. And this technique also gives such a cool result with DI! Lovely to do and with two other ladies from the 'Rongrong'-serie I finished them again this time. This is the background where I cleaned the stencil on watercolor paper by spraying some water over it and placing the watercolor paper on the top and rubbing over it. So this is the 'negative' print. (The first one just sponged through the stencil can be found here).

CaS in het weekend 471 / CAS in the weekend 471

Okay, het lijkt erop dat ik helemaal terug ben gegaan naar een techniek die ik jaren terug gebruikte om stencils schoon te maken en tegelijkertijd daarmee een heel stel achtergronden te maken... en ik schijn er niet mee op te kunnen houden... Zeker nu Josje ook weer een hele stapel nieuwe stencils gekocht heeft waarvan ik er ook heel wat van wil uitproberen... Zo blijft het uitdagend om dingen te maken en zo super dat je dingen van elkaar kunt gebruiken en zo (eigenlijk te) veel keus hebt om dingen mee te maken... En te weinig tijd om alle ideeën meteen op papier te krijgen...

Dus ben ik afgelopen donderdag begonnen met wat eerst moest; het maken van 2 verjaardag kaarten voor jarigen deze maand. Die zie je later hier verschijnen, maar, op beiden gebruikte ik een stencil en dus maakte ik bij het schoonmaken weer wat achtergronden. En die moest ik natuurlijk ook meteen gebruiken!

Vandaag een van die achtergronden, Deze achtergrond is de 2e afdruk die ik zo kreeg. En daarop weer door een stencil gesponst dat voor mij echt een Lentegevoel geeft. Ik heb er geen tekst op gezet omdat ik er in mijn grote berg tekst stempels geen vond die helemaal paste.

Okay, it seems I've gone back to a technique I used years ago to clean stencils and make a whole bunch of backgrounds by doing that... and I can't seem te stop... Especially now that Josje has bought a bunch of new stencils and I want to try out quite a few of them... This way it remains challenging to make things and it's so great that you can use things from each other and have (actually too) many choices to make things with... And too little time to get all ideas down on paper right away...

So last Thursday I started with what had to be done first; making two Birthday cards for people who have a Birthday this month. You will see them appear here on the blog later, but, I used a stencil on both of them and so I again made some backgrounds while cleaning them. And of course I had to use them right away!

Today one of those backgrounds. This background is the 2nd print I got this way. And on it I sponged through another stencil that really gives me a Spring feeling. I didn't put a text on it because I couldn't find one in my large pile of text stamps that completely fit.

Dit is degene waar ik door het stencil heen heb gesponst op een stuk papier waarop ik de een stencil heb schoongemaakt van dit project, Het was de derde keer dat ik er een achtergrond vanaf haalde.

Soms / Sometimes

Een kaart voor mijn moeder voor moederdag. Een bloem, alleen dit jaar geen roos en een spreuk en een dame... Dat is alles voor dit jaar...

Gisteren heerlijk buiten gegeten 's avonds met mijn ouders. Het was zo lekker; niet te warm... En ze voorspellen voor de hele week nog zo'n lekker weer; dat word genieten!

A card for my mon for mothers'day. A flower, just no rose this year, a text and a lady... That's all for this year... 

Yesterday we had our diner outside together with my parents. It was so good; not too warm... And the forecast for the rest of the week is the same; I will be enjoying that!

CaS in het weekend 470 / CAS in the weekend 470

Alweer de 470ste keer dat ik een CaS in het weekend post en dus ook een CaS-project maakte! Er zijn nog maar 33 weekenden in dit jaar en bij de 500ste wil ik stoppen met de CaS in het weekend... Dus ergens in December zal je de laatste CaS in het weekend hier op mijn blog vinden.

Niet dat ik dan geen CaS projecten meer zal maken, maar die zullen dan hier verschijnen wanneer ik er zin in heb...

I am at the 470th time that I made a CAS in the weekend post and so made a CaS-project! There are 33 weekend left in this year and at 500 I want to stop with CAS in the weekend... So somewhere in December you wil find the last CAS in the weekend here on my blog.

Not that I won't make any CAS projects, but those will appear here whenever I feel like it...

Deze keer een aantal stempels die ik van Josje op een van onze gezellige  donderdagmiddagen kon lenen. Soms is zij de eerste die net een van mijn nieuwe stempels aan de gang gaat en omgekeerd gebeurt dat ook; fijn dat we daarmee elkaar ook zo goed kunnen inspireren! En heerlijk (en soms ook lastig kiezen en bedenken wat je waarmee gaat doen; samen hebben we zo veel :) .

Mooi van deze stempels vind ik dat ze uit maar een paar lijnen bestaan...

This time a few stamps that I could borrow from Josje on one of our fun Thursday afternoons. Sometimes she is the first to use one of my new stamps and vica versa; it is nice that we can inspire each other so well by doing that! And it is wonderful (and sometimes difficult to choose and think of what to do with it; together we have a lot ;).

What I like about these stamps os that they consist of only a few lines...

Lavendel en een dame / Lavender and a lady

Natuurlijk maak ik een stencil dat ik gebruikt heb weer schoon door er wat water over te sproeien en er een aquarelpapier op te leggen en erover te wrijven. Dat heb ik bij deze ondergrond gedaan. Je krijgt dan een 'negatieve' afdruk. Soms een mooie en soms niet, maar deze vind ik wel bijzonder! Daarop heb ik de zwangere dame gestempeld met DO en later bewerkt met een kwast en meer water. Ik blijf het leuk vinden om stempels en stencils te combineren en met water te werken!

Of course I clean a stencil that I used again by spritzing some water over it and then lay a piece of aquarelpaper on top of it and rub that/ That is what I did with this background. You will get a 'negative image. Sometimes it is a beautiful one and sometimes not but this is one I think is special! On top of that image I stamped the pregnant lady with DO and went over it with a brush and some water.

I stil like it so much to combine stamps and stencils and work with water!

Fiets en bikini / Bicycle and bikini

Ook dit is weer een project gemaakt met de opgedepte inkt van een stencil. Mooi hoe de fiets eruit kwam te zien in dit 'negatieve' afdruk! Daarna met een lichte kleur de zomerse dame gestempeld en met veel water gekleurd. Dit geeft helemaal het gevoel van vorige week donderdag weer; het was 28 graden en zo zonnig...

This is also a project made with the ink from cleaning a stencil mopped up on a aquarel paper. I really like how the bicycle came out in this 'negative' print! After that I stamped the summerly lady with a light color and colored her with lots of water. This totally captures the feeling of last Thursday; it was 28 degrees and so sunny...

Sterk en mooi / Strong and beautiful

Nog een ander slimline stencil dat ik niet op een slimline kaart gebruikte... Dit keer gecombineerd met een stempel van een zwangere dame. En in heerlijk zonnige kleuren, want, toen ik dit afgelopen donderdag maakte was het hier zo'n 28 graden! Zoals altijd hier is het met het weer hollen of stilstaan... In ieder geval was het heerlijk om zoveel zonnige kleuren voor een zomers plaatje te maken!

Another slimline stencil that I didn't use on a slimline card... This time combined with a stamp from a pregnant lady. And in fun summer colors, because on the day that I made this; last Thursday, It was round 28 degrees here! Like always; the weather went from normal Spring temps to Summer temps... At least it felt good to use so many sunny colors to make this summer project!

In het gras / In the grass

En toen was er nog een stempel uit de set van de lezende meisjes die ik graag wou gebruiken... Na het stempelen heb ik deze gemaskerd en de grassen gestempeld die ik hier en hier al eerder anders gebruikte. Nog een stukje DP uit mijn voorraad gezocht en dat was alles wat ze nodig had...

And than there was hust one stamp from the set with the reading girls that I wanted to use... After stamping this one I put a mask on it, stamped the grasses that UI used before here and here in a different way, Looked for a piece of DP in my stash and that was all she needed...

Soms duik je in je achtergronddoos om een achtergrond te vinden voor een stempel en ontdek je in die doos nog zoveel meer mooie stukken papier die je wilt gebruiken... Dat is wat mij hier overkwam... 

En wat is dan makkelijker dan gelijk in je Art Journal te werken. En ik vond laatst nog een vel met Rub-ons die er qua kleur bijpaste, dus die ging er ook op. 

Achteraf gezien vind ik 'm te veel glinsteren, maar ja toen zat die er natuurlijk al op... Dan maar naar een 'overkill' en er nog een heleboel gemstones opgeplakt.

Sometimes you go through all in your background box to find a background for a stamp and you discover so many more beautiful pieces of paper that you want to use... That is what happened to me here...

And what is than easier as working directly in your Art Journal. And a few days ago I found a piece with Rub-ons that fits the colors, so that went on this page too.

In retrospect I think it shines too much, but he by that time it was already on there... All I could do was go over to an 'overkill' and so I glued a lot of gemstones on it too.
