Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden! Je kunt de eerste die ik maakte hier vinden. De 2e vind je hier, de derde hier en de 4e hier. Voor de 4e en 5e heb ik 2 keer een papier met daarop al een gestempelde 'Missees' gebruikt. Beiden heb ik ingekleurd met kleurpotloden en daarna verschillende dingen eromheen gemaakt. Leuk om zo weer een ander effect te maken! Dit is voorlopig de laatste en 5e.

I coloured both with colouring pencil and put different things around the 'Missees'. Nice to create a different effect again!

Missees 21

Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden! Je kunt de eerste die ik maakte hier vinden. De 2e vind je hier en de derde hier. Voor de 4e en 5e heb ik 2 keer een papier met daarop al een gestempelde 'Missees' gebruikt. Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden! Je kunt de eerste die ik maakte hier vinden. De 2e vind je hier. Deze derde is weer gemaakt met een, achtergrond uit mijn achtergrondendoos. Dit keer een achtergrond waar door een stencil paarse en groene zelfgemaakte inktspray is gespoten. erop kwam washitape in vrolijke bloemen, de 'Missees' en een washitapetekst. De bladzijde van het Art Journal waar deze kaart straks inkomt heb ik simpelweg beplakt met verschillende bijpassende washitapes.

On one of our Thursday afternoons we agreed to work with the 'Missees'. Fun; it was a while ago that I 'played' with them. You can find the first one I made on this afternoon here. The 2nd one you can find here. This 3th one is made with a background on wich I sprayed self-made green and purple ink through a stencil. On top I put washitape with flowers, the 'Missees' and a washitape text. On the page from the Art Journal where this card whule be landing later, I simply put some fitting washitapes.

Missees 19

Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden! Je kunt de eerste die ik maakte hier vinden. Deze 2e is weer gemaakt met niet een, maar twee achtergronden uit mijn achtergrondendoos. De ene is aquarelpapier met daarop kleur van een schoongemaakt stencil en de ander is een van een vel met een niet gelukte Gelliplate-techniek. Die doos begint nu echt leger te worden! Ik heb wat vellum gescheurd en erop geplakt samen met de 'Missees' en een washitapetekst.

The one is aquarelpaper with some colour from cleaning a stencil and the other one is a piece of paper with a failed Gelliplate-technique. That box is getting seriously more empty! I tared some vellum and glued them on them together with the 'Missees' and a washitapetext.

Missees 18

Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden en Josje heeft ondertussen een aardig stel sets daarvan, dus ze kan er thuis ook lekker mee aan de slag... Maar eerst gingen we er hier mee aan de gang. Ik starte waar ik de vorige keer gestopt was; met een stuk aquarelpapier met daarop door een stencil gespoten sprayinkt dat ik afsneed van dit stuk dat ik gebruikte voor het laatste wat ik op de vorige donderdagmiddag maakte. Dat werd mijn basis en daarop heb ik de kleuren voor deze 'Missees' afgestemd. Nog wat erop gestempeld, een stuk velum gezocht, wat washitape en daar vond ik de letters bij. Gekeken in welk Art Journal deze zal gaan en een van de bladzijden daarvan met inktpads bewerkt. Toch maar wat tekenpapier achter het velum gedaan omdat de strepen van het Art Journalpapier er niet zo mooi doorkwamen en dat was het wel... deze kaart/bladzijde kan zo in mijn Art Journal...

On one of our Thursday afternoons we agreed to work with the 'Missees'. Fun; it was a while ago that I 'played' with them and Josje has bought a few sets of them, so she can work with them at her home aswel... But first we used them at my home. I started where I stopped the Thursday before; with a piece of aquarelpaper on wich I sprayed through a stencil on that I cut from this piece that I used for the past project that I made on the Thursday before. That became the base on wich I colour-coordinate the colours of this 'Missees'. I did stamp a bit on it and surched for a sheet of vellum and some washitape and I found some letters to go with all of it. I looked into wich Art Journal I will put this one and went over with some inkpads on the page. I did put some sketchpaper behind the vellum, because the stripes of the inkpads didn't came through in a nice way and that was it... this card/page can go straight in my Art Journal...

Gast Designer bij Try it on Tuesday + Missees 16 / Guest Designer at Try it on Tuesday + Missees 16

Zo leuk: ik ben gevraagd Gast Designer te zijn bij 'Try it on Tuesday' ! Zij starten vandaag met een nieuwe uitdaging: "Pretty Papers". Dat vraagt natuurlijk om een Art Journal Page en ook om heel wat stansjes te gebruiken.... Best lekker als je al een heel aantal dingen uitgestanst hebt :) In dit geval allerlei dingen van de Missees-serie. Dus ik ben gaan neerleggen en combineren en kon het toch niet laten om ook een zelfgemaakte achtergrond uit mijn achtergrondendoos te gebruiken... Dat is gewoon hoe ik werk; het liefst maak ik zelf mijn achtergronden. Na heel wat schuiven en veranderen kwam ik hier op uit:

So great: I am asked to be Guest Designer at 'Try it on Tuesday' ! They start today with a new challenge: "" Pretty Papers". That, to me shouts Art Journal paper and use a lot of diecuts... So good that I pre-die-cut so many already :)  This time I used all kinds of Missees die-cuts. So I laid some down and tried combinations and I couldn't do without a self-made-background from my background box... That is just how I like to work; I like to make my own backgroundpapers. After shuffeling a lot and changing many times this is what I came up with:

Ik kwam mijn doos met Missees stansjes tegen en had deze achtergrond uit mijn achtergrondendoos al klaarliggen om er wat op te maken. Dus heb ik deze glanzende achtergrond gecombineerd met wat subtiel glinsterend papier:

CaS in het weekend 376 / CAS in the weekend 376

Het is een lekker afwisselend weekend hier; zon en nog steeds koud en af en toe een regenbui. Dis vermaken we ons heerlijk binnen. Vrijdag zijn we voor het eerst sinds jaren met bijna alle neven en nichten samen gekomen. Je moet weten dat mijn familie niet alleen in Nederland, maar ook in België en Spanje woont. En dan valt het nu nog mee; er zijn tijden geweest dat we verder verspreid woonden... Het was dan ook heerlijk om weer te babbelen, herinneringen op te halen en een hoop nieuwe dingen uit elkaars leven te horen, Het was lang geleden dat een lach en een traan zo vaak zo dicht bij elkaar zaten...

Het is ook weer het 1e weekend van de Formule 1, dus daar genieten we ook van.

En ik heb lekker wat me-tijd genomen en me vermaakt met wat stempels en stencils en kleur om deze 2 CaS projecten te maken:

It's a nice varied weekend here; sun and still cold and the occasional rain shower. So we are having a good time indoors. Friday we got together with almost all cousins for the first time in years. You should know that my family lives not only in the Netherlands, but also in Belgium and Spain. And then it's not too bad; there have been times when we lived even further apart... So it was wonderful to chat again, reminisce and hear a lot of new things from each other's lives, It had been a long time since a smile and a tear so often were close together...

It's also the 1st weekend of Formula 1 again, so we're enjoying that too.

And I took some me-time and had fun with some stamps and stencils and colour to make these 2 CaS projects:

Gisteren was ik jarig! Eigenlijk maar een dagje ouder, maar toch voelt deze dag wel een beetje speciaal.

In ieder geval aten wij taart en maakte ik er een gezellige dag met een beetje "me"-tijd van!

Ook start voor mij het nieuwe jaar eigenlijk pas met mijn nieuwe levensjaar... 

Vandaar dat ik vandaag ook pas mijn motto voor 2023 bekend maak... 

Dit jaar is het wel wat meer dan een woord:

"Het verleden moet je loslaten'

Het heden wil je zo goed mogelijk maken

En morgen gaat het nog beter!"

Voor jou heb ik een Missees op een lekkere bladeren achtergrond; die moest wat groens aan, omdat ik groen mistte in de achtergrond... 

Yesterdaywas my Birthday! I'm just a day older, but somehow the day feels a bit special. 

For sure we ate cake and I made it a cozy day with a bit of "me"-time!

Also, for me, the new year actually only starts with my new year of life...

That's why I'm announcing my motto for 2023 today...

This year it is a bit more than a word:

"Let go of the past

You want to make the present as good as possible

And tomorrow will be even better!"

For you I have a Missees on a fun leaves background; she had to have some green in her clothes, because that was the colour that I was missing on the background...

Even tussen alle kerst e.d. door weer eens een Missees die ik op een van de donderdagmiddagen maakte. Nu een uitbundige op een bonte achtergrond. De achtergrond maakte ik door het stencil steeds te verschuiven en met een andere kleur te sponzen. Daar paste deze dame met het "wilde" haar wel bij vond ik. Wat vind jij ervan?

In between all christmassy things again one of the Missees that I made on one of the thursday afternoons. This time an abundant Missees on a bold background. That background was made by moving the stencil a bit every time and sponge with another colour. I thought this Missees with the "wild" hair fitted it good. what do you think?

Missees 10

Na een lange tijd, doordat we op verschillende tijden vakanties hadden en door Corona en mijn blessure, hebben Josje en ik eindelijk weer een heerlijke donderdagmiddag samen stempelend en knutselend doorgebracht. De laatste keer bij mij hadden we gestempeld met de Missees (die heb ik nog niet laten zien doordat ze nog gekleurd en verder afgewerkt moeten worden en dat op dit moment niet goed gaat met mijn arm). Deze keer wilden we aan de slag met de Missees stanzen. Ik had al een doosje vol met gestanste hoofden en lichamen en haar en wat kleding en als we niets konden vinden wat paste of ons beviel hebben we nieuwe uitgestanst. Van een andere middag had ik nog heel wat achtergronden liggen die wachtten om af gewerkt te worden. Heerlijk om al die achtergronden eindelijk te gebruiken! Dus ben ik daarmee verder gegaan en ik hoop dat jij het leuk vind er meer te zien in latere posts...

After a long time because we had holidays at different times and because of Corona and my injury, Josje and I spent another wonderful thursday afternoon stamping and crafting together. The last time at my place we stamped with the Missees (I haven't shown them yet because they still need to be colored and finished and that is not going well with my arm at the moment). This time we wanted to get started with the Missees dies. I already had a box full of diecut heads and bodies and hair and some clothes and if we couldn't find anything that fit or we liked we diecutted new ones. From another afternoon I still had a lot of backgrounds waiting to be finished. Great to finally use all those! So I continued with that and I hope you will enjoy seeing more of them in later posts…

Zomer Challenge 2022 61+ Missees 9 en overzicht / Summer Challenge 2022 61+ Missees 9 and compilation

Zo ik ben er klaar mee! Nee niet negatief bedoeld, maar ik heb alle dagen/prompts van de Zomer Challenge gemaakt die ik wou maken. Heerlijk dat ik nu weer op andere manieren kan gaan stempelen, kleuren en meer, al heb ik weer genoten van het op deze manier aan de slag gaan... Dus vandaag de laatste dag en een overzicht van alle gemaakte dagen. Dit jaar heb ik mezelf een extra uitdaging gesteld en ik ben benieuwd of het jou is opgevallen wat er op alle kaarten van deze Zomer challenge te zien is? Op alle kaarten van de Zomer challenge van dit jaar staan 1 of meer strepen!

So I have finished it! No, said in a negative way, but I made all the days/prompts of the Summer Challenge wich I wanted to make. Feels so good that from now on I can start stamping, colouring and more in different ways again, although I enjoyed making things with a prompt... So today the last one and a compilation of all the days I made.This year I set myself an extra challenge and I am so curious if you saw what it is that you can see on all the cards of the Summer Challenge? On all of the cards of the Summer Challenge are 1 or more stripes!

Denk dat ik nu maar eens verder ga met het afwerken van heel wat dingen die er nog in mijn bak liggen om nog wat mee te doen en nog veel meer opgebruiken van spullen die al lang in mijn hobbykamertje liggen en die ik, nadat ze op zijn, nooit meer ga aanschaffen... Mooi voornemen? Of niet... kijken of dat me lukt...

Think I now go on with finishing a lot of the things that are in my -still-to-finish- box and to use up a lot of the things that lay in my little craftroom for such a long time, and wich I won't buy ever again when they are used up...

Vandaag vieren we de 60 jarige trouwdag van mijn ouders. We gaan op de Maas varen; we hebben er veel zin in! En natuurlijk doen we nog meer...

Dat betekend ook dat ik vandaag geen tijd heb iets te maken, dus heb ik een eerder gemaakte Missees voor je.

De achtergrond had ik al eerder op een van de donderdagmiddagen gemaakt. En op een van de andere  donderdagmiddag heb ik deze missees in elkaar geplakt. Nog even een van de mooie teksten samengesteld en deze was klaar. Hoe vind je trouwens de haren? Gemaakt van een behangstaal; geeft zo'n mooi effect...

Tpday we celebrate the 60 aniversary of my parents weddingday. We will be navigate on the Maas; we are looking forward to that! And ofcourse we have more planned...

The background is one I made on one of the earlier thursday afternoons. And on another thursday I glued this missees together. The only thing what it needed was the beautiful text that I composed and that was it. What do you think about the hear? Made of a wallpapersample; that is such a great effect...
