Schommelen / Swing

Oké en nu eindelijk iets heel anders met het thema Flower Festival dat de uitdaging deze maand is bij Lavinia. Natuurlijk kun je hiervoor nog heel andere dingen gebruiken van dat merk en dat is wat ik gedaan heb voor dit project. En ik heb meteen maar een paar van mijn nieuwste stempels van hen gebruikt. Soms moet je gewoon even goed bedenken of en welke stempels je van een nieuwe release zou willen gebruiken; ik heb ondertussen in de loop van jaren al best veel van hen verzameld...

Ik ben gewoon begonnen met stempelen en in zwart-wit zag het er al heel leuk uit, maar ik mistte toch wat kleur...

Oké and now something different with the Flower Festival wich is the theme from the challenge at Lavinia this month. Of course you can use so many more things from this brand for it and that is what I did with this project. And I used some of my new stamps from them. Sometimes you just have to think hard wich stamps you would use from a new release; I have collected a lot of them over the years...

I just started by stamping all and it looked fine in black and white, but I missed some color...

Beetje collage 2 / A little bit collage 2

Nadat ik de vorige keer een collage maakte / aan het scrappen ben gegaan met een aantal afbeeldingen die ik van Josje gekregen had (zie hier), kreeg ik precies hetzelfde blad met afbeeldingen bij een van mijn eigen bestellingen meegestuurd. (Ik snap nooit waarom ze een knipvel meesturen met een bestelling die toch duidelijk voor een stempelaar of stencillaar is). Toen ik dat zag moest ik als eerste heel erg lachen... en als 2e kreeg ik toen een idee om met precies dezelfde uitgeknipte afbeeldingen nog iets anders te maken. In plaats van de moderne achtergrond moest het nu iets meer sprookjesachtig worden, dus meer in de stijl die je zou verwachten bij zo'n afbeelding. Dit is het geworden en ik ben benieuwd wat jij ervan vind...

After the last time that I made a collage/was scrapping with a few images that I got from Josje (here), I got exactly the same paper sent to me with an order for me. (I don't het it why they sent a cutting sheet with a an order from someone who is clearly a stamper or stencilist). When I saw it the first thing I did was laugh a lot... and, second I got an idea to take exactly the same cut out images and make something different. In stead of the modern background it had to be somewhat more fairy tale-isch, so more in the style that you would expect with an image like this. This is what it has became and I am curious what you think of it...

De achtergrond die je hier ziet is weer gemaakt door een stencil op aquarelpapier schoon te maken. Dat stencil had ik bij deze collage gebruikt en dit is de tweede afdruk/print die ik daarvan 'trok'. (de eerste vind je later hier op het blog) En, nadat ik vorige week al een keer deze stempel liet zien, vond ik het leuk om een van mijn nieuwste (voor mij) stempels nog een keer te gebruiken.

The background that you see here is again made by cleaning a stencil on aquarelpaper. I used that stencil to make this collage and this is the second 'print' that I took from that stencil. (You can see the first one later here on the blog). After I used this (for me) new stamp here before, I just had to use it one more time.

Vazen in de tuin / Vases in the garden

Als je dan met een stel vazen-stencils en bloemenstempels aan de gang bent gegaan is het niet vreemd (tenminste dat gebeurt mij vaak) dat je nog meer ideeën om met die dingen te maken krijgt. En een van die ideeën heb ik dan ook nog op papier gezet.

Dus weer met de vazenstencils en wat bloemenstempels en meer aan de gang gegaan en dit kwam daar uit: 

When you make things with the vases-stencils and flower stamps it isn't so strange (at least that happens often to me) that you get more ideas to make with those things. So I put one of those ideas on paper.

Beetje collage 1 / A little bit collage 1

Nog maar weer een keer een achtergrond die ik maakte door te sponzen door een stencil. Dit keer was de aanleiding dat ik van Josje een papier met daarop uit te knippen afbeeldingen kreeg die zij niet leuk vond. Natuurlijk werk ik zelf ook niet zo heel vaak op deze manier; collages maken of scrappen doe ik niet zo heel veel, maar ik vond het zonde het papier niet te gebruiken en de afbeelding van de dame en de kleuren vond ik wel mooi. Na het sponzen heb ik een tekst op vellum gezocht. Dat heb ik samen met de afbeeldingen opgeplakt en toen was dit het resultaat:

And again a background that I made by sponging through a stencil. This time it al started with that Josje gifted me a paper on wich were some images that you can cut out that she didn't liked. Of course I don't work often in this way; making collages or scrappen aren't things I do so often, but I  thought it was a pity to not use the paper and I liked the colors and the lady. After sponging I searched for the sentiment on vellum, I glued that together with the images and this was the result:

Ik blijf maar doorgaan met het maken van achtergronden tijdens het schoonmaken van een stencil dat ik ergens op gebruik. Dit is de 1e print die ik zo maakte met het stencil van dit project. Ik vind 'm zo mooi dat ik er niet te veel op wou doen, dus heb ik wat dames gezocht in mijn voorraad en een velum tekst voor erbij.

I keep on making backgrounds by cleaning my stencils that I have used somewhere. This is the first print that I made with the stencil of this project. I like it so much that I didn't want to cover it much, so I searched for some ladies in my stash and a vellum sentiment to go with it.

Pluk de dag / Carpe Diem

Een kaart maken voor mijn vader voor Vaderdag vind ik best wel een lastige elk jaar... Zo ook dit jaar, tot ik deze stanzen op een van de donderdag middagen bij Josje zag en mocht lenen. Die gecombineerd met een heel nieuw stencil, dat ik ondanks mijn grote verzameling toch kocht, omdat het zo mooi en anders was als allen die ik al heb.

En weer eens wat stukjes papier opgemaakt met een nieuwe stans.

Ik ben blij dat m'n vader 'm leuk vond...

To make a card for my Father for Fathers day is not that easy for me every year... So this year it was the same, until I saw these die-cuts from Josje on one of the Thursday afternoons and could borrow them from here. I combined these with a new stencil, that I bought in spite of my big collection of stencils, because it is such a beautiful and different one as the ones I already have.

And I again used some snippets with a new die-cut.

I'm glad my dad liked it...

Cirkels / Circles

Soms koop je iets met het idee dat je dat goed kunt gebruiken en dan blijft het alsmaar liggen... Dat gebeurde ook met deze rondjes, die eigenlijk een dikker soort vouwblaadjes zijn. Ik had ze gewoon maar in mijn doos gegooid die ik twee weken geleden ook weer mee naar Josje had genomen en eindelijk heb ik er wat mee gemaakt... Niks erop gestempeld deze keer, maar wel een stencil gebruikt.

Sometimes you buy things with the idea that you could use it well and than it stays in your stash for a long time... That happened with these circles, wich are a kind of folding papers. I just threw them in the box that I took with me to Josje two weeks ago and finally I used them...

I didn't stamp this time, but I did used a stencil.

Vazen en bloemen 2 / Vases and flowers 2

Voor mijn 2e project met de Lavinia vazen stencils (de eerste is hier) heb ik niets ingekleurd, maar wel veel gesponst. Vooral dat het mask er ook bij zit geeft je nog meer mogelijkheden om ermee te 'spelen' (al maak ik zo'n mask ook wel eens zelf).  En ook bij dit project heb ik daarmee gemaskerd: 

For my second project with the Lavinia vase stencils (the first one is here) I didn't color anything. but sponged a lot. Especially that the masks are delivered with the stencils gives you so many opportunities to 'play' ( I sometimes make such masks myself). And I masked with them also on this project:

Ik heb op een donderdagmiddag nog maar een keer een van deze stencils met feestende mensen geleend en deze gesponst. De vraag was natuurlijk wat ga je er nog meer mee doen... Dat wist ik in eerste instantie niet, maar na een paar dagen er steeds langs te zijn gelopen (deze lag op mijn hobbytafel) was er het idee en heb ik deze heel snel kunnen maken:

On a Thursday afternoon I borrowed again the stencil with the partying people and sponsed it. That left me with the question what I would put on it... I didn't know at first, but after walking past it ( it was on my hobby table) the idea came and I was able to make this very quickly:

Vorig weekend liet ik je een jongetje op een steiger zien, vandaag een meisje op een boot. Ook deze is heel eenvoudig gehouden en zal straks in mijn vierkante Art Journal verdwijnen...

Hoofd / head

Op de achtergrond is nauwelijks nog zichtbaar dat ik ook op deze bladzijde een stencil heb schoongemaakt; dit is de 4e afdruk van het stencil dat ik hier gebruikte. De stempel is een, voor mij, nieuwe stempel van alweer een stempelfirma die ermee gestopt is. Deze losjes gekleurd met water en inkt; een heel ontspannend werkje!

On this background it is almost not to be seen that I cleaned a stencil on this paper again; this is the 4th print that I took from the stencil I used here. The stamp is a new one for me from another stamp firm that has stopped or is going to stop. I colored it loosly with water and ink; a very relaxing thing to do!

Weer een achtergrond gemaakt tijdens het schoonmaken van een stencil waar ik doorheen gesponst had. Leuk dat deze wat zachter werd; zo kon ik deze lekker combineren met dit meisje dat ik uit een stuk DP knipte.

Dit is voorlopig de laatste print van een nieuw slimlinestencil; ik heb ze nu allemaal gebruikt. Maar je zult nog wel vaker een achtergrond tegen komen die ik met deze techniek maakte.

Again a background made by cleaning a stencil wich I used to sponge through. Nice that this one got a bit softer colors; that way I could easily combine it with this girl that I cut out of a piece of DP.

For now this is the last print from my new slimline stencils; I used them all. But you will come across more backgrounds that I made with this technique.

Vazen en bloemen 1 / Vases and flowers 1

Al een hele tijd heb ik een aantal stencils van vazen van Lavinia in huis. En nog steeds niet gebruikt... Daar moest verandering in komen! Dus op een van de donderdagmiddagen heb ik ze mee naar Josje genomen. Die dag heb ik 6 van de 8 stencils gebruikt en ervan genoten! Vandaag heb ik de eerste van de 2 projecten die ik daarmee maakte voor je; als altijd was het heerlijk stempels en stencils te combineren en, omdat bij de stencils ook de masks zitten, heb ik daarmee ook gemaskerd:

For a long while I have a few stencils from vases from Lavinia in the house. And I still haven't used them... That had to change! So on one of the Thursday afternoons I took them to Josje's house. That day I used 6 of the 8 vases stencils and enjoyed working with them! 'Klick', 'klick'

Mijn laatste nieuwe slimline stencil moest natuurlijk ook gebruikt worden, dus heb ik de 3e afdruk van het schoonmaken van het stencil dat ik hier gebruikte als achtergrond genomen en door het nieuwe stencil gesponst, daarna d.m.v. sponzen de pot en bloemen gekleurd, wat grond gesponst en de beide fotograferende dames erop geplakt.

En natuurlijk maakte ik ook deze keer het stencil weer schoon door het met water te bespuiten en er een aquarelpapier op te leggen en erover te wrijven... Dus heb ik weer een andere achtergrond voor een volgende keer...

My last new slimline stencil had to be used too, so I took the third print from cleaning a stencil that I used here as a background and sponged through the new stencil, colored the flowerpot and the flowers by sponging them, sponged some ground and glued ladies taking the photos on it...

And of course I cleaned this new stencil again by spritzing some water over it, placing a piece of aquarel paper on top of it and rubbing over it... So once again I have another background for a next time...

Soms is het leuk om alles heel simpel te houden... Dus gewoon een jongetje op een strook aquarelpapier stempelen en maskeren, de steiger stempelen, alles inkleuren en veel water tekenen en dan alleen maar een vel DP met een tekst erop gebruiken om het op te plakken...

Sometimes it is fun to keep everything very simple... So just stamped a boy on a piece of aquarelpaper, masked him and stamped the ramp, colored it all and drew the water, glue that on a piece of DP with a text...

Nog een keer een stencil schoongemaakt op een stuk aquarelpapier. Het stencil gebruikte ik hier. Deze gaf wel een mooi effect, maar ik vind 'm iets minder duidelijk. En omdat het zo vrolijk is, heb ik er alleen twee keer het houten woord 'happy' bijgedaan, nadat ik deze gekleurd had met 2 van de kleuren die ik ook gebruikt had voor het sponzen door het stencil.

Again I cleaned a stencil on a piece of aquarelpaper. I used the stencil here. This one gave a nice effect, but is a little bit less obvious. And, because it is a cheerful one, I just took two wooden words 'happy' and colored them with two of the colors that I used to sponge through the stencil.

Sterke dame / Strong lady

En alweer een achtergrond gemaakt door een stencil op aquarelpapier schoon te maken gebruikt... Dit was de 1e print van het stencil dat ik hier gebruikte.

Erop een sterke dame, een stempel die ik met grote korting ergens kon kopen. Gaaf toch als je een stempel best leuk vind, maar anderen leuker dus koop je 'm niet en je kunt 'm later met zoveel korting kopen dat je die alsnog aan je 'verzameling' stempels kunt toevoegen!

And again a background made by cleaning a stencil on aquarelpaper... This was the first print that I made from the stencil I used here.

On it a strong lady, a stamp that I could buy somewhere with big discount. Cool when you like a stamp, but you like others better so you don't buy it and you can buy it later with such a big discount that you can still add it to your 'collection' of stamps!

Biertje?/ Beer?

De verjaardagskaart voor de vriend van onze dochter, Hij houd van katten en een biertje en vanwege het lekkere weer heb ik lekker felle kleuren gebruikt. En lekker een stencil, 2 stanzen en 2 stempels samen gecombineerd...

En ik heb 3 keer een achtergrond/afdrukken kunnen maken bij het schoonmaken van het stencil dat ik hiervoor gebruikte. Je vind die hier en hier terug en de 1e achtergrond/afdruk komt later nog hier op het blog. 

The Birthday card for our daughter's boyfriend. He likes cats and beer and while it was delightful weather I used fun bright colors. And it was fun to combine a stencil, 2 die-cuts and 2 stamps together...

And I was able to make 3 backgrounds/prints while cleaning the stencil I used for this one. You can see them here, here, here and you you will see the first background/print later here on the blog.

Een andere vaas / A different vase

Mijn moeder was deze maand jarig en natuurlijk wilde ik haar verrassen met rozen. Dit jaar met een groep bonte feestvierders op de achtergrond. De vaas en bloemen zijn stansjes die ik ook lekker fel kleurde.

My mother's Birthday was this month and of course I wanted to surprise her with roses. This year with a colorful group partying in the background. The vase and flowers are die-cuts that I colored with bright colors.
