O fijn weer weekend! Een natte, soms witte en ook koude week hebben we hier gehad. Echte Maartse buien dus, terwijl we langzaam uitkijken naar het voorjaar, de sneeuwklokjes bijna uitgebloeid zijn, de krokussen niet lang meer hebben en de blauwe druifjes en narcissen hun kopjes laten zien... Het voelt als een soort overgangsweekend wat het weer betreft; de temperatuur gaat weer omhoog de komende week... Kijken of we dan toch echt het voorjaar in gaan... Dit weekend veel activiteit in huis, maar natuurlijk heb ik ook wat 'me-time' genomen en weer eens wat stempels die ik al langer niet heb gebruikt hebben wat inkt gezien. Lekker is het om ze met wat nieuwe stencils te combineren...

O great weekend again! A wet, sometimes white and also cold week was the one we had. So real 'March showers' , while we slowly looking forward to Spring, the snowdrops are allmost gone, the crocusses will follow soon and the grape hyacinths and narcisses are blooming... It feels like a kind of transition-weekend weatherwise; the temperature will rise again next week... Let's see if we really enter spring... This weekend a lot of activity in the house, but of course I also took some 'me-time' and again some stamps that I haven't used for a long time have seen some ink again. It is fun to combine them with some new stencils...

Een haas / A hare

Op een van onze gezellige, en in dit geval een witte en koude, donderdagmiddag zijn we aan de slag gegaan met de fotokadermaker van We-R en het maken van een achtergrond dmv Distress Oxide op een acrylblok, water erover spuiten en op aquarelpapier daarna een achtergrond maken. Dit was de 1e die ik maakte:

On one of the fun, and in this case a white and cold, thursday afternoons, we worked with the photoframemaker from We R and making a background with Distress Oxide on an acrylblpck, spritsing some water on it and after that make a background with that on a piece of aquarelpaper. This was the first one that I made:

Met de hond in het voorjaar / With the dog in Spring

In mijn achtergrondendoos lag deze met de zachte pastel kleuren die ik tijdens een van de donderdagmiddagen heb gemaakt. Ik ben in een andere doos gedoken met allerlei uitgestanstte dingen en vond daarin dit meisje en haar hondje, magnoliabloemen en een tak, een fiets en een hekje en maakte er dit mee:

In my background box I found this one with the soft pastel colours that I Madem on one of the thursday afternoons. I searched in another box with all kinds of diecut images and found this girl and her little dog, magnolia flowers, a branche, a bike and a fence and made this with it:

CaS in het weekend 376 / CAS in the weekend 376

Het is een lekker afwisselend weekend hier; zon en nog steeds koud en af en toe een regenbui. Dis vermaken we ons heerlijk binnen. Vrijdag zijn we voor het eerst sinds jaren met bijna alle neven en nichten samen gekomen. Je moet weten dat mijn familie niet alleen in Nederland, maar ook in België en Spanje woont. En dan valt het nu nog mee; er zijn tijden geweest dat we verder verspreid woonden... Het was dan ook heerlijk om weer te babbelen, herinneringen op te halen en een hoop nieuwe dingen uit elkaars leven te horen, Het was lang geleden dat een lach en een traan zo vaak zo dicht bij elkaar zaten...

Het is ook weer het 1e weekend van de Formule 1, dus daar genieten we ook van.

En ik heb lekker wat me-tijd genomen en me vermaakt met wat stempels en stencils en kleur om deze 2 CaS projecten te maken:

It's a nice varied weekend here; sun and still cold and the occasional rain shower. So we are having a good time indoors. Friday we got together with almost all cousins for the first time in years. You should know that my family lives not only in the Netherlands, but also in Belgium and Spain. And then it's not too bad; there have been times when we lived even further apart... So it was wonderful to chat again, reminisce and hear a lot of new things from each other's lives, It had been a long time since a smile and a tear so often were close together...

It's also the 1st weekend of Formula 1 again, so we're enjoying that too.

And I took some me-time and had fun with some stamps and stencils and colour to make these 2 CaS projects:

Robotten / Robots

Op een van de gezellige donderdagmiddagen gingen we met vormen als cirkels, ovalen, driehoeken, vierkanten of rechthoeken aan het spelen. Een stencil dat ik al heel lang heb, maar niet gebruikt, had ik hiervoor meegebracht. Na het sponzen heb ik voor deze de 3 robotten gestempeld, gekleurd en "gegrond"...

On one of the pleasant Thursday afternoons we played with shapes such as circles, ovals, triangles, squares or rectangles. I had brought a stencil that I have had for a long time, but not used, jet. After sponging I stamped, colored and "grounded" the 3 robots for this one...

Deze heb ik ook op een van de donderdagmiddagen gemaakt. In plaats van een fotoframe, heb ik hier allemaal cirkels getekend m.b.v. een leeg rolletje van de foamtape. Zo simpel kan het soms zijn om alles met elkaar te verbinden... Fijn dat ik weer een bladzijde in mijn boekje met de leuke meisjes heb kunnen maken; langzaamaan komt het vol en heb ik de dametjes in allerlei situaties en landschapjes geplaatst,,,

This one I also made on one of the fun Thursday afternoons. Instead of a photoframem I drew  a lot of circles with the help of a roll of foamtape. So simple it can be to pull it all together on a page... Feels good that I finished another page in my book with the fun girls; slpwly the book gets filled and will I have places the girls in all kinds of spots and sceneries,,,
