Glamour

Soms koop je iets en blijft het maar liggen, zo ook dit stencil... En toen zag ik de uitdaging bij Inkspirational en vond ik in mijn achtergrondendoos deze heerlijke kleurtjes... Dus heb ik gesso met DI refill Mustard seed gemengd tot een licht geel (vind ik mooier dan wit..) , dat door het stencil gedrukt en daarna was mijn page voor mijn gevoel af, dus niets meer aan toegevoegd. De colourwash trekt bij het drogen mooi door de gekleurde gesso heen:
Sometimes you buy something and that stays on your desk forever, that happened with this stencil... And then I saw the challenge at Inkspirational and found these delicious colours in my backgroundbox... So I mixed some DI refill Mustard seed with gesso until it turned light yellow (I like that more that just white...), pushed that through a stencil and that was that; I felt the page was finished like this, so I stopped. The colourwash pulls trough the coloured gesso so beautifully during the drying:

Zomer Challenge 61, Coolingdown en overzicht / Summer Challenge 61, Coolingdown and collage

Vandaag eindelijk de laatste kaart en de coolingdownkaart die ik maakte in de reeks van kaarten voor de Craftorij Zomer Challenge (CZC). En dan heb ik alle 61 kaarten, 3 opwarmertjes en de coolingdownkaart, dus 65 kaarten in totaal gemaakt!
Today finally the last card amd the coolingdown-card that I made in the serie for the Craftorij Summer Challenge. So I made all 61 cards, the three "warming up"-cards and the coolingdowncard, that is a total of 65 cards!

Het duurde deze keer zo veel langer voor ik alle opdrachten had gemaakt; je hebt toch minder de druk en neiging om elke dag een kaart te maken als het grootste gedeelte van de deelnemers al klaar is...
It took me so much longer for I made all the challenges; there is so much less presure to make a card every day when most of the participants are already finished...

En dan is het ook voor mij voorbij: 0 kaarten meer te maken; alle lol die ik had met het maken van de uitdagingen die soms een heel eind uit mijn comfort-zone lagen... Het kijken naar wat de anderen van de groep allemaal gemaakt hebben en heerlijk geïnspireerd worden door dat alles en de fijne commentaren...
And so it allso stops for me: 0 cards to make; all the fun that I had with making these challenges with some way out of my comfort-zone... The fun of looking at all the ways that others of the groupe made there cards and get inspired by all that and the lovely comments...

CaS op zaterdag 126 / CAS on saturday 126

Alweer een heerlijk warme zaterdag en weekend! We genieten hier echt van de heerlijke temperaturen. Dus zijn we in ons vol geplande weekend lekker veel buiten! Maar, ook lekker, natuurlijk ben ik tussendoor aan de slag gegaan met stempels, inkt en nog wat meer om CaS-kaarten voor deze CaS zaterdag te maken. Een ervan is zelfs een kerstkaart, wat ja: de zomervakantie is voorbij, dus de start voor mij om daaraan te beginnen!
Again a warm saterday and weekend! We do enjoy the lovely warm temps here. So we will be outside a lot in our packed weekend! But in between all, I enjoyed playing with stamps, ink and more to make some CAS-cards for this CAS saterday. One of them is even a christmascard; summervacation is over so that is my start for them!

En heel snel ging deze week weer voorbij...wat was het een warme week met die recordtemperaturen in september! Ik heb zo veel mogelijk geprobeerd om daarvan te genieten, want vanaf dit weekend worden er weer, voor hier, normale temperaturen verwacht...
En ja nadat het gisteren vooral heerlijk was om heel veel te doen, is het vandaag ook koeler. Dus zat ik wat prettiger te werken in mijn hobbykamertje... en dus heb ik weer een paar CaS-kaarten voor deze CaS zaterdag gemaakt:
And so quickley this week has gone... it was a real warm week here with record temps for september! I spent as much time outside to enjoy it as I could, because the forcast is, that it is going to be "normal" here from this weekend on...
