Natuurlijk moest ik, toen ik er eenmaal 1 gemaakt had, er nog een maken met mijn nieuwe stempels. Ik vind het heerlijk om in de wondere wereld te duiken waar deze stempels zo goed in passen en te proberen iets anders als een ander ermee te maken... En soms moet het gewoon in CaS-stijl...

Of course I had to, when I made the first one, make another one with my new stamps. I just like it so much to dive in to the wunderful world where these stamps fit in so perfect and try to make something else as others has made with them... And sometimes it just has to be in CAS-style...

En dan heb je de ene stempeldonderdagmiddag 11 projecten gemaakt en gaan de volgende twee door omstandigheden niet door... Dan ben ik blij dat ik vaak een stukje vooruit werk en dus de laatste keer zoveel gemaakt had, anders had ik hier op het blog niets meer om jou te laten zien...

Natuurlijk ging het in de loop van die week toch wel 'kriebelen' en had ik graag een paar dingen gewoon in mijn eigen hobbykamertje gemaakt (i.p.v. aan mijn keukentafel of bij Josje aan haar hobbytafel). Alleen al omdat ik wat nieuwe Lavinia stempels had besteld en binnen gekregen terwijl ik daar een tijdje op had moeten wachten en zo erover had kunnen denken wat ik zou gaan maken... Helaas vloog de tijd voorbij met andere dingen die moesten gebeuren. Gelukkig ging de stempeldonderdagmiddag vorige week wel weer door, dus kon ik eindelijk met ze aan de gang... Ben benieuwd wat jij ervan vind....

And so you've made 11 projecten on one stamping Thursday afternoon and the next onetwo were cancelled due to circumstances... That's when I'm glad I often work a bit ahead and made so much last time; otherwise I wouldn't have had anything let to show you here on the blog...

Of course, in the weeks in between, I did start get the 'itch', and wanted to make a few things in my own little craft room (instead of my kitchen table or at Josje's craft table). If only because I had ordered and recieved some new Lavinia stamps and had to wait a while or them, so I could think about what I was going to make with them... But helas time flies and there were other things that had to be done. Luckely the stamping Thursday afternoon last week was on again, so I finally could use them...  I'm curious what you think of it...

Vazen 1 / Vases 1

Niet te geloven dat ik uiteindelijk 11 projecten maakte (weliswaar ontbraken na die middag de teksten en DP bij sommigen) op een stempeldonderdagmiddag! Dat krijg je ervan als de week daarvoor een best saaie week was nadat onze dochter weer terug naar Wales ging; je hebt net iets minder te vertellen en als je dan ook nog eens allebei helemaal 'Zen' word tijdens het kleuren. dan word het wat stiller en gaat dat wat je aan het maken bent opeens super snel...

Ik had een stempelset van 2 vazen en wat stempels van takjes in mijn mandje gegooid om daar mee aan de gang te gaan. Voor dit eerste project daarmee had ik ofwel een te klein stuk papier genomen, of ik begon met het te hoog op het papier stempelen van de vazen... Dat is maar net hoe je het bekijkt. Daarom pastte voor mij deze tekst er super bij...

It is unbelieviable that at the end I made 11 projects (some were lacking textes or DP) on one stamping Thursday afternoon! That is what happens when the week before that Thursday was a dull one after our Daughter left for Wales again; you don't have so much to tell and, when you're both get totaly 'Zen' by coloring, it will get quiter and making things suddenly goes super fast...

I put a stampset with two vazes and some stamps of twigs in my basket to get going with them. or this first project with them I took a too smell piece of paper or I stamped the vazes to high on the paper... That depends how you look at it. That is why this text itted perfectly...

Deze stempel heb ik gewonnen bij een uitdaging bij Allsorts en ik vind 'm leuk! Maar ook deze verdween in eerste instantie in mijn NBUS-box, gewoonweg omdat ik er nog geen bijzondere ideeën voor had. Nu moet ik zeggen dat het idee om deze op een achtergrond gemaakt met Te gekke krijtjes en een stencil te gebruiken pas in me opkwam toen ik bedacht had welke kleuren ik voor de bloemen in het bouquet wou gebruiken. En dan is het snel gestempeld, lekker 'zen' bij het kleuren en het kostte wat tijd om er bijpassend DP bij te vinden, maar ook dan is deze best snel klaar...

I win this stamo at a challenge at Allsorts and I really like it!

But at first it disseappeared in my NBUS-box, just because I had no special idea or it. The idea to use this background made with a stencil and Te gekke krijtjes came to me after I descided wich colors I wanted to use for the flowers in the bouquet. And than it is stamped pretty quickly, I was so 'zen' when coloring and it took a bit more time to find fitting DP, but all and all it was a quick make...

Gezien worden / Be seen

Heerlijk als er steeds meer achtergronden uit mijn achtergrondendoos verdwijnen! Ook deze met een gezicht erop in verf door een stencil aangebracht moest eindelijk eens gebruikt worden. Ik heb van alles erop gelegd; stempels, andere stencils, al gestanstte abeeldingen, maar uiteindelijk koos ik voor deze meisjes figuren en een stuk DP erachter met daar een stickertekst op. Ik was aan het denken hoe mensen overal steeds meer op een scherm kijken i.p.v. naar elkaar...

This is one also rom the box, one with a face on it made with paint through a stencil, had to used finally. I laid all kinds o things on top of it: stamps, stencils, already die-cut images, but I choose these girl images and a piece of DP with a stickertext on it. I was thinking how people more and more looking at screens in stead of to eachother...

Tussen sterren heen en weer... / Between stars back and forth

Deze zwarte ondergrond met sterren erop ligt echt al heel lang in de achtergrondendoos. Ik vind 'm leuk, maar er moet duidelijk wat op. Tussen mijn stencils heb ik er een liggen met verschillende schommelende dames. Een van die probeerde ik uit op het zwart en de sterren. Het geet niet helemaal het effect dat ik verwacht had, maar mislukt is deze ook niet. Dus heb ik er nog wat sterren opgeplakt en wat washistape erbij gepakt. Dit is een project dat tijdens het maken steeds verandere, tot ik het wel genoeg vond.  Niet hoe ik het in gedachten  had en niet 100% naar m'n zin, maar het was heerlijk om hieraan bezig te zijn...

This background with the stars on it has really been sitting in the background box for a very long time. I like it, but clearky it is lacking a lot. Among my stencils I have one with swinging ladies. So I tried one of them in the black and the stars. The effect isn;t what I expected, but it isn't bad eighter. So I glued some more stars on it and grabbed some washitape. This is a project that kept on changing while I was making it, until I elt it was enoough. Not how I had envisioned it and not 100% to my liking, but it was lovely making this one...

Wij spelen samen / We play together

Op een van de achtergronden die ik op die stempeldonderdagmiddag meegenomen had was er een met daarop een hoop glimmermist in goud- en zilverkleur. Ook hierop legde ik een stencil en sponsde daar met verschillende bruinkleuren en andere kleuren DO inkt door.

On one of the backgrounds that I took with me on that stamping Thursday afternoon was one with a lot of glimmermist in gold- and silver color. On this background I also used a stencil and several brown- and other colors DO-ink on it.

En nog een achtergrond uit mijn achtergrondendoos die ik eindelijk gebruikte... Dit keer een met een vage pauweveer afdruk. Ik gebruikte er een stencil op dat ik sponsde met verschillende kleuren DO. De kat heb ik nog een keer met zwarte fijnschrijver getekend.

Van het stencil dat ik bij dit project gebruikte, trok ik nog een 2e print. Die was wel mooi, maar er was niet meer te zien wat de abeelding precies was. Dus heb ik het stencil er andersom opgelegd en ben er met dezelde kleuren weer doorheen gaan sponzen. En natuurlijk was deze abeelding ook andersom dan bij het 1e project.

From the stencil that I used on this project, I took another print, but on that one you couldn't see anymore what the image was. So I placed the stencil on top the other way around and sponged through it again with the same colours. And of course this print shows the image the other way around.

Maar, als, je door een stencil sponst, moet je dat stencil ook weer schoonmaken... Dat deed ik dus weer en dus had ik weer een print... De print daarvan vond ik zo mooi, dat ik er alleen maar een achtergrond bij gemaakt heb en een tekst bij gezocht heb. En, omdat ik het stencil andersom had gebruikt, staat de abeelding hierop nu weer zoals het hoort...

But, by sponging through a stencil, you have to clean the stencil also...

That is what I did and so I had again a print... I liked the result of the print from the cleaning so much, that I only made a background to go with it and looked for a matching text. And, because I used the stencil the other way round, now the image stands on this one like it supose to again...

Moeder en dochter 1+2 / Mother and daughter 1+2

Voor weer een stempeldonderdagmiddag was ik wat spullen in mijn mandje aan het doen, zonder dat ik ook maar een idee had van wat ik die middag zou willen maken. Dus vulde ik dat mandje met een hoop stempels, wat stencils en een doos met al gemaakte achtergronden die ik toch echt eens moet gaan gebruiken en nog een paar andere dingen. Als eerste ben ik die middag gaan bladeren door de achtergronden die ik bij me had en daar zag ik deze met de handen tussen. Die handen deden me denken aan een stencil dat ik meegnomen had, waarop een moeder de hand van haar dochter vasthoud. Met wat kleur heb ik door het stencil gesponst en dit was het resultaat:

For jet another Stamping Thursday aternoon I was packing some things in my basket, without having a clou of what I wanted to make that aternoon. So I filled my basket with a lot of stamps, some stencils and a box with backgrounds that I now for real had to get using and a couple of other things. First that afternoon I went through the backgrounds and came acros this one with the hands. That reminded me of a stencil that I brought that aternoon, on wich a mother holds her daughter's hand. I sponged some color trough the stencil and this was the result:

Maar, als je door een stencil sponst, moet je dat stencil ook weer schoonmaken... Dat deed ik dus en de print daarvan vond ik zo mooi, dat ik er alleen maar een tekst bij gezocht heb.

(Je kan zien dat het een print van een stencil is doordat de omlijning gekleurd is én dat de abeelding andersom op het papier staat)

En zo zorgde ik ervoor dat ik niet de ene achtergrond gebruikte en er gelijk weer een bij maakte die in de achtergrondendoos zou verdwijnen...

But by sponging through a stencil, you have to clean the stencil also...

That is what I did and the result of the print from the cleaning I liked so much, that I only looked for a matching text.

(You can tell it is a stencil print because the outline is colored and the image is turned the other way in the paper)

This way I made sure I didn't use one background and immediately create another one that would disappear into the background box...

Giraf op bloemen / Giraf on flowers

Oké, die giraf vond ik leuk met de frisse kleuren gesponst door het bloemenstencil, maar ik wou natuurlijk ook de giraf een keer inkleuren... Dus heb ik het stencil schoongemaakt op aquarelpapier en de giraf erop gestempeld en ingekleurd. Geeft een heel ander effect met dezelde stempel en is ook leuk om te doen:

Oké, I liked it to sponge through the stencil and put the giraffe in between the lowers, but I wanted to colour that giraffe too...  So I cleaned the stencil on aquarelpaper and stamped the giraffe on it and colored it. It gives such a different effect and was un to make:

Giraf tussen bloemen / Giraf inbetween flowers

Met een van de uitdagingen bij Allsorts heb ik deze stempelset gewonnen met deze girafstempel. Maar dan; hoe ga ik die gebruiken? In mijn stapeltje met NBUS stencils lag ook deze met de bloemen. Dus toen was het snel beslist; daar moest de giraf tussendoor komen "piepen"... Het was weer heerlijk om een stencil zo te gebruiken, al had ik voor sommige kleuren echt te grote brushes, maar dat was niet zo erg, omdar de kleuren over de 'rand' van de bloemen moesten vallen bij dit stencil.

With one of the challenges bij Allsorts I won this stampset with this girae stamp. But than; how am I going to use it? In my little pile of NBUS stencils lay this one with flowers. So by seeing that it was an easy choice; the giraffe had to peek out of these flowers... It was so lovely to again use a stencil this way, even if some of the brushes of some colors where really too big, but that wasn't such a big problem here, because the colors had to stretch over the edges of the flowers with this stencil.

Grafische uil / Graphic owl

Ook de stempel van de mooie uil die ik hier gebruikte komt uit een set. Dus wou ik ook die andere uil nog gebruiken voor ik de set zou opruimen. Ook een achtergrondstempel die er al even lag kreeg inkt te zien en ik heb hier 2x een stencil gebruikt dat ik een tijdje geleden tegenkwam en dat ik nog een aanvulling vond op de hele berg stencils die ik al heb en dus liet ik die toen in mijn winkelmandje vallen. Heerlijk om zoveel (voor mij) nieuwe dingen te gebruiken! 

Ik vind deze uil heel mooi, maar het is wel een heel speciefieke stijl. Wat vind je van deze uil?

The beautiful owl stamp that that I used here is one from a set. So I wanted to use that other owl too before I put the set away. A backgroundstamp that was laying on my table for a while got inked and I used a stencil twice that I found a while ago and thought that it would be a good addition to the 'mountain' of stencils I already have, so I dropped that into my shopping basket. It is wonderul to use so many (for me) new things!

I think this owl is very beautiful, but it is a very specific style. What do you think of this owl?

Liefie / Cutie

Ik ben niet zo van de erg 'cute' stempels, maar de meisjes van Gorjuss hebben om de een of andere reden mijn hart gestolen... Dus heb ik een aantal van de grote stempelsets en heb ik de kleine stempels ook bij elkaar gespaard. Die kleine moet ik nog veel vaker gaan gebruiken, maar vandaag kan ik je er een met een grote stempel laten zien.

Ook hier heb ik als achtergrond weeer een stuk papier gebruikt waarop ik een stencil heb schoongemaakt. Dat stencil gebruikte ik eerder hier.

I'm not so in to 'cute' stamps, but the girls from Gorjuss have stole my heart... So I have a few big stampsets and I have collected all the little stamps. Those little ones I have to use more often, but today I can show you one with a big one.

I started here again with a background on wich I cleaned a stencil on. I used that stencil earlier here.

Magnolia 2

En dan heb je zo'n mooi stencil van magnolia bloemen en is het zonde om het meteen weer op te bergen, dus wil je er nog iets mee maken... Maar, dan wel anders! Waarom weet ik niet, maar de stempel donderdagmiddag waarop ik dit maakte was ik een beetje in een 'cute' mood. En ik heb lekker vrolijke kleuren gebruikt, misschien als reactie op het miezerige grijze weer van die dag? En ik gebruikte weer een van de achtergronden die ik maakte door er een stencil op schoon te maken. Dit stencil gebruikte ik eerder op dit project.

Dus een goed moment om deze stempel van het schommelende meisje voor het eerst inkt te laten zien:

And then you have such a beautiul stencil with magnolia flowers and it would be a pitty to store them again immediately, so I wanted to make something else with it.,, But, so diferent looking! I don't know why, but on that stamping Thursday afternoon I was a bit in a 'cute' mood. And I used bright colors, mayby as a reaction on the gray and wet day that we were having that day? And I used again one o the backgrounds that I made by cleaning a stencil on paper. The stencil I used earlier for this project.

So a good moment to ink this stamp of the girl on the swing or the first time:

Magnolia 1

Na het maken van de Paaskaarten was er die stempel donderdagmiddag nog wat tijd over en ben ik verder gegaan met de stukken papier waar ik de stencils op schoongemaakt heb die ik voor die paaskaarten had gebruikt. De eerste twee waren best snel gemaakt. (je kan ze hier, hier en hier vinden) Maar de tijd ging ook snel en dus ben ik op de stempel donderdagmiddag een week later weer verder gegaan om deze achtergronden te gebruiken. 

Hier de derde die ik maakte, dit keer heb ik nog een ander stencil gebruikt. En die moest ook wel nu gebruikt worden, want op het moment staan buiten de magnolia's zo mooi te pronken... Ik geniet daar elk jaar weer zo van...

Het stencil dat ik op deze achtergrond schoonmaakte gebruikte ik hier.

After making the Easter cards there was a lot of time left that stamping Thursday afternoon and I went on using the pieces of paper where I cleaned the stencils on that I used for thise Easter cards. The first two were made pretty quick... (you can find them here, here and here) But time rished further quickly, so I got back to using them on the next stamping Thursday afternoon a week later.

Here the third one I made, this time I used another stencil on top o it. And that is a stencil that I just had to use now, because at the moment the Magnolia's outside are so beautiully on bloom... And I enjoy them so much each year...

Feeëndal 2 / Fearie glen 2

Nadat ik uitgezocht had wat het thema was voor de uitdaging van deze maand bij Lavinia, maakte ik tijdens een stempel donderdagmiddag op mijn gemak deze tweede wereld waarin ik de elfjes wel zou willen laten wonen. Deze keer meer in een herfstsfeer,

After I surched what the theme was for the challenge this month at Lavinia, I made on one of the stamping Thursday afternoons at a slow pace this second world in wich I would let the fairieslife. This time more in an autumn mood.

Feeëndal 1 / Fearie glen 1

Soms moet je echt even zoeken in je geheugen en op internet om duidelijk te krijgen wat een uitdaging vraagt... Dat was ook zo bij de uitdaging van deze maand voor Lavinia; Die was 'Fearie Glen'. Het is iets als een elfen vallei of feeëndal / sprookjesachtige, vaak verborgen valleien met kegelvormige heuvels en groene weiden.

En dat is een beschrijving waar ik toch wel iets mee moest kunnen verzinnen... 

Ik ben begonnen met de 2 boomhuisjes en de bomen en brug en vandaaruit ben ik de heuvels met bloemen en takjes gaan maken. Natuurlijk eerst alles gestempeld, daarna met een kwast en water uitgewerkt, en als laatste nog met een zwarte fijnschrijver en rode DI brush wat accenten en de bloemen getekend:

Sometimes you have to surch in your memory and on the internet to get clear what they ask at a  challenge... That was the case with the new challenge at Lavinia for this month; They ask 'Fearie Glen'. That is something like an elf or fairy valley / fairytalelike, often hidden valleys whit cone-shaped hills and graan meadows. And that is a description I surely should be able to come up with something

I started with the 2 treehouses and from there I started making the hills with flowers and twigs. Of course I stamped everything first, then worked it out with a brush and water, and finally added some accents and drew the flowers with a black fine-tip pen and a red DI brush:
