Opwarmen / Warming up

Dit is alweer de laatste in deze serie waarbij ik prints trok van stencils die ik gebruikte om doorheen te sponzen.

Rood en blauw zijn kleuren die je moeilijker ergens van af kunt krijgen en dat merkte ik ook weer toen ik een rood beïnkt stencil op aquarelpapier schoonmaakte; ook op een 2e stuk papier kreeg ik een leuke achtergrond daarvanaf. Met wat gestempelde, ingekleurde en uitgeknipte kaarsen en washitape en stickerfiguren is dit project precies geworden wat ik bij het begin als idee had:

With some stamped, colored and cut-out candles and washitape and some sticker images this turned out exactly as what my idea was at the start:

Nu ik dit stencil op deze 2 manieren heb gebruikt kreeg ik steeds meer ideeën om het stencil op andere manieren te gebruiken, maar daar ga ik op een later tijdstip wel weer mee aan de gang; na dit project wil ik even weer wat anders gebruiken.

Now I used this stencil in these 2 ways, I got more and more ideas to use this stencil in different ways, but that is something I will go 'play' with another time; after this project I wanted to use something else...

Een stap... / One step...

Rood en blauw zijn kleuren die je moeilijker ergens van af kunt krijgen en dat merkte ik ook weer toen ik een rood beïnkt stencil op aquarelpapier schoonmaakte; de 1e print die ik op een stuk aquarelpapier maakte van een stencil dat ik voor sponzen gebruikte gaf een leuke en best sterke achtergrond. 

Met wat gestempelde, ingekleurde en uitgeknipte kaarsen en washitape en stickerfiguren is dit project precies geworden wat ik bij het begin als idee had:

With some stamped, colored and cut-out candles and washitape and some sticker images this turned out exactly as what my idea was at the start:

Er loopt een streepje door.../ A stripe is running through

Bij mijn nieuw gekregen stencils zit deze gestreepte. Ik vind dit soort stencils al jaren leuk, dus ik was blij dat ik er weer een aantal tegenkwam en kon bestellen.

Maar dan, dat kan gewoonweg niet alles zijn... Dus eerst maar eens het stencil schoongemaakt door er 2 printen van te 'trekken'. Daarna in mijn doosje met figuren gezocht en deze 3 dames gevonden. Nog rood cardstock gevinden en daarop met een stencil en witte Sharpie allerlei gebogen lijnen gemaakt. De tekst vond ik in een doos met stansjes. En dat was precies genoeg vond ik...

Between my new gifted stencils is this striped one. For years I think this kind of stencils are so fun, so I was glad I found a few again and could order them.

But than, that could not be all... So first I cleaned the stencil by 'pull' two prints of of it. Than I went through my box with girl omages and found these 3 ladies. And found some red cardstock and made all kinds of bowed lines on it wth a white Sharpie. The text was one I found in a box with die-cuts. And I thaught that was just enough...

Relax tijd -1e print geel / Relax time - 1 print yellow

Nog maar een keer meteen het stuk papier waarop ik een stencil schoonmaakte gebruikt. En ik vond passend washitape waarvan je bijna niet kunt zien dat het erop geplakt is. Wat nieuwe sticker afbeeldingen en een tekst van een van mijn nieuwe stempelsets die ik met mijn verjaardag kreeg en dat was het weer. Dit keer een best snel project...

I used the piece of paper on wich I cleaned a stencil right away. And I found some washitape that fit so good; you can bearly see that it is sticked on top of the paper. Some new sticker omages and a sentiment from one of my new stampsets that I got for my Birthday and that was all. This time a relativily quick project...

Binnen in de warmte / Inside in the warmth

Tja, wat moet je met dat weer... zag het gisteren, na de hele dag een grote regenbui van 's nachts tot 's avonds te hebben gekregen, er weer bijna normaal uit, heeft het vannacht weer een beetje gesneeuwd... Zonde toch; met zo'n dun laagje zijn de sneeuwpoppen niet goed te herstellen én zie je die paar gladde plekken die over waren gebleven niet. Maar ja we doen het er maar mee...

Ik ben lekker doorgegaan met een niewe tekststempel en nieuwe washitape en figuurtjes en een van mijn (vele) favoriete stencils.

Well, what can you do with this kind of weather...Yesterday, after a heavy downpour from the night until the evenong, it looked almost normal again, but then it snowed a little bit last nght... What a shame; with such a thin layer the snowmen are hard to repair, and you can't see the few remainng slick spots. But hey, we'll make do...

I kept on going with a new text stamp, new washitape, figures and one of my (many) favorite stencils.

Where woman party...

Buiten was het gisteren nog wit, maar de sneeuw was al langzaam aan het wegsmelten. Een natte drap word het dan en dat is waar ik helemaal niet van hou. Dus ook gisteren niet veel naar buiten gegaan. En gisteren ook geen stempel donderdagmiddag door dat weer en dus 'smorgens maar even aan de gang gegaan met de laatste van de mode-dames uit mijn nieuwe stempelset. Gesponst door een stencil op een overgebleven stukje stempelpapier en de laatste dame gestempeld. En wat daarna... uiteindelijk heb ik restjes Design Papier gebruikt en een uitgestanst hart wat kleur gegeven om wat verbinding met de cirkels te krijgen en een tekst gestempeld.

Totaal niet geworden wat ik had gedacht toen ik begon, maar af en toe moet je gewoon eens wat anders, iets buiten je 'comfort-zone' doen...  Het blijft leuk andere technieken te doen. En deze keer is dit hetgene wat eruit kwam.

Outside it was still white yesterday, but the snow was slowly melting away. It becomes a wet mess, and that's something I don't like. So I didn't go out much yesterday either. No stamping Thursday afternoon too because of the weather, so yesterday moning I got started on the last of the fashion ladies from my new stampingset. I sponged through a stencil on a ledt over piece of stampingpaper and stamped the last lady. And then what... I ended up using left over design papers and colored a die cit heart to connect with the cirkles, and stamped a sentiment.

Ot didn't turn pit at all like I had in my mind when I started, but every now and then ou just have to try something different, something outside your comfort-zone. It's always fun to try different techniques. And this time this is what I end up with.

Nadat ik het project uit de vorige post gemaakt had, had ik en stencil met veel inkt erop, dus heb ik het natgespoten en er een aquarelpapier opgedrukt en eroverheen gewreven. Het resultaat viel niet tegen en heb ik voor  dit project gebruikt. Ik vond het leuk om ook de andere stempels uit de set te gebruiken, dus dat deed ik en ik heb er nog een tekststempel bij gezocht.

Ondertussen geniet ik van het uitzicht op nog steeds een witte wereld en hebben we hier in huis nog zat te doen en kunnen we thuiswerken. Dus heb ik deze weekgeen last van wegen die niet zo goed begaanbaar zijn, al zal ik er over een aantal dagen toch voor wat boodschappen uit moeten. (Blij dat we altijd veel op voorraad hebben)

After I made the project from the last post, I was left with a stencil full of ink. So I sprayed some water and pushed a piece of aquarelpaper on it and rubbed over that. The result wasn't bad and I used it for this project. I liked it to use some more stamps from the set, so I did and I surched a text stamp to go with it.

In the meanwhile I enjoy the great vieuw I have on a still white world and we have enough to do in the house and can work from home. So I don't have to go out on roads that aren't that pleasant to drive on,but I will have to do some shopping at the end of the week. (Glad we always have a lot of stock)

Mode-golven / Fashion-waves

Oh wow; gisteren al een witte verjaardag gehad met de sneeuw die viel en bleef liggen én genoeg was om maar liefst 3 sneeuwpoppen hier op het hofje te laten verschijnen en vandaag is er gewoonweg weer al 20 cm sneeuw gevallen!

Het is al zeker 4 keer eerder gebeurd dat ik een witte verjaardag had en dus heb ik met 5 witte verjaardagen officieel meer keren een witte verjaardag als een witte kerst meegemaakt... 

Wel een heel rustige verjaardag nu iedereen thuisblijft als ze niet persé ergens naar toe moeten, maar beter dat iedereen heel blijft... En ik heb hier in huis heel veel kunnen doen dat nodig was... Zodat ik vandaag wat tijd had om wat projecten te maken.

Met kerst doen wij kadootjes en als het nieuwe jaar net begonnen is ben ik jarig, dus deze tijd van het jaar is echt een prima tijd voor nieuwe stempels / stencils / stanzen voor mij... 

De eersten kreeg ik van Josje op onze laatste stempel donderdagmiddag van het jaar (het valt allemaal op de donderdagen dit jaar, dus 2 weken geen stempel donderdagmiddag voor ons ...) en daar was ik al heel blij mee. En daarna werd ik met kerst ook nog eens goed verwend en ik heb mijn verjaardagskadootjes grotendeels zelf mogen uitzoeken, dus vanaf vandaag weet ik echt niet meer waar ik mee zal gaan beginnen... 

Vandaar dat ik vandaag gewoon met een set die ik van Josje kreeg aan de gang ben gegaan en met een nieuw stencil...

Oh wow! Yesterday was already a white Birthday, with the snow that felt and stayed and that was enough to let appear three snowman here in our courtyard, and today another 20 cm of snow has already fallen! I've had at least four white birthdays before, so with five white birthdays, I've officially experienced more white birthdays than Christmases...

With all the snow it was a very quiet birthday when everybody stayes home when they are not in a need to go somewhere, but it is better as all stay in one piece... And soI could do a lot in the house what was needed... And I made some time for today to make some projects today...

On Christmas day we do give presents and when the New Year has just started it is my Birthday, so this time of the year is really a good time for new stamps / stencils / die-cuts for me...

I got the firsts ones from Josje on our last stamping Thursday afternoon of the year (it is all on Thursdays, so 2 weeks no stamping afternoon for us...) and with those I was super happy. And after that I was spoiled on Christmas and I got to pick most of my Birthday presents myself, so from today on I really don't know what to start with...

That is way I today just started with a set I already recieved from Josje and a new stencil...

De eerste dag... / The first day...

Niet zoveel tijd, want veel mensen te zien...

En dus heb ik een stempel gebruikt die ik alleen maar hoef in te kleuren en waarbij ik maar een beetje hoef te tekenen voor de lucht en het water.

Als je dit leest hoop ik dat je de jaarwisseling goed door bent gekomen en een fijne relaxte dag hebt gehad...

Ik heb er in ieder gaval van genoten dit te maken en ga vandaag nagenieten van onze jaarlijkse eerste afspraak in een nieuw jaar; met vrienden, hun kinderen en aanhang brunchen, heel veel kletsen en wie weet lekker wat bordspellen doen die we gisteren hadden.

Ik wens jou een fijne dag, maar vooral:

Een goed en creatief 2026!

Not that much time, because we have a lot of people to see...

So I used a stamp that I only need to color and a little bit of drawing for the sky and the water.

I certainly enjoyed making this and am going to savor our first meeting of the New Year; brunch with friends, there children and partners, lots of chatting and playing some boardgames.
