Vandaag weer drie dagen van de Zomer Challenge van Art Journey. De 1e maakte ik nog thuis en de volgenden heb ik op de weer gezellige donderdagmiddag gemaakt. 

Die donderdagmiddag had ik echt even nodig nadat wij woensdag de hele dag in een ziekenhuis waren omdat onze dochter geopereerd moest worden. Zij was als 1e ingepland en was al in de zaal voor de OK en 'geprepped' toen er eerst een en daarna nog een andere spoedoperatie voor gingen. Zij zat op die manier twee uur 'vast'. Gelukkig was er een mogelijkheid om haar telefoon bij haar te krijgen zodat ze een beetje afleiding had tijdens het wachten. Daarna liep natuurlijk hun hele schema hopeloos in de war en heeft ze nog heel lang moeten wachten tot ze de arts kon spreken en naar huis mocht... Dus i.p.v een vroege halve dag, waren we zo'n 10 uur in het ziekenhuis... Gelukkig is alles goed verlopen! Wij waren blij om 's avonds weer thuis te zijn...

Om de spanning van dat alles verder uit mijn lijf te krijgen was het heerlijk om een middag met stempels, stencils en kleur aan de gang te gaan, wat te babbelen en elkaar te inspireren onder het genot van een kop thee en een koekje...

En als je dan aan het eind van die middag een heel aantal projecten afhebt én weer lekker in je vel zit is het leven weer een heel stuk mooier!

Today again three days of the Art Journey Summer Challenge. I made the first one at home and the others on Thursday afternoon. 

I really needed that fun Thursday afternoon after spending Wednesday the whole day in a hospital because our daughter had to have an operation. She was scheduled to be the first that day and was already in the room before the OK and totally 'prepped' when one and then another emergency operation was done before hers. She was 'stuck' in this room for two hours. Fortunately there was a way to get her phone to her so she had some distraction while waiting. Of course their entire schedule got hopelessly mixed up and she had to wait 2,5 hours before she could speak the doctor and go home... So instead of an early started half day, we were in the hospital for 10 hours... Fortunately everything went well! We were so happy to be home again in the evening...

To get rid of the tension of all of this, it is wonderful to spent an afternoon with stamps, stencils and colour, chat and inspire each other while enjoying a cup of tea and a cookie... And when you have completed a number of projects at the end of that afternoon and you feel good again, life is a lot more beautiful again!
