On the pages of life...

Elk jaar zo eind september, begin oktober begint het te kriebelen; De wedstrijd voor de poster van Art Apecially event wordt bekend gemaakt en dan wil ik aan de gang...
Vorig jaar duurde het even voor ik daar aan toe was, maar uiteindelijk heb ik toch vier kaarten gemaakt.
Ondertussen is de uitslag bekend en zijn drie van mijn kaarten in het Art Specially magazine gepubliceerd. Dus nu kan ik ze hier laten zien. In deze post de eerste kaart die ik maakte en die nietzo ver gekomen is in de rondes:
Every year at the end of september, start of october it starts to ich here; the contest for the Art Specially poster starts and I want to start with the theme... This year it took some time before I could give it a go, but at the end I made four cards. Now the winner is announced and three of my cards are publiced in the Art Specially magazine. So finally I can show them here. In this post the card that I made first, wich didn't got publiced:

Een kaart in een Art Journal-stijl. De dame is een stempel van Rubberstampave (De Stempelwinkel). Deze eerst gestempeld met Versafine Black Onyx en gemaskerd. Daarna het tornadostencil van Andy Skinner gebruikt. Gesponst met DI Pine Needles in het midden. Er om heen DI Salty Ocean en aan de buitenrand DI Wild Honey. Daarna alles gesponst met DI Salty Ocean. Met Mermories Soft Gray de ogen van Serendipity stamps (Kicostamps) en  Stempelmakerij De Voet gestempeld. Het stencil van Articellar gebruikt en gesponst met hetzelfde grijs. Daarna met een stempelliniaal de tekst van Personal Impressions met Versafine Black Onyx gestempeld. Het masker verwijderd en op fel blauw parelmoerpapier en daarna op zwart cardstock gemat.
A card in a Art Journal style. The woman is a stamp from Rubberstampave. Stamped this one first with Versafine Onyx black and masked it. Sponged through the tornado stencil from Andy Skinner with DI Pine Needles in the middle and Salty Ocean the rest. Then I stamped with Memories Soft gray the eyes (Serendipity stamps and Stempelmakerij De Voet) the eyes. Another pair of eyes sponged with the gray and a stencil from Artisellar. Stamped the text (Personal Impressions) with Versafine black onyx. Removed the mask and glued the card on naccre paper and black cardstock.

Taart kaart / Cake card

Een verjaardagskaart gemaakt met een nieuw stencil en nieuwe stempels:
Made a Birthdaycard with a new stencil and stampset:

Eens heel rustig gehouden dus, naast de Versafine black onyx voor de stempelafdrukken maar 5 kleuren Distress  Inkt (Salty ocean, Tumbled glass, Barn door, Spun suger, Wild Honey en Shabby shutters), waterpen en maskerpapier gebruikt: Stempels zijn van Crafters Compagnion en het stencil van Craft Emotions.

This time I decided to keep it simple and used next to the Versafine black onyx for the stamps just five DI colours (Salty ocean, Tumbled glass, Barn door, Spun suger, Wild Honey en Shabby shutters), a waterpen and some masking paper. The stamps are from Crafters Compagnion and the stencil from Craft Emotions.

Gastdesinger en een beetje kleur / Guestdesigner and a bit of color

Vandaag is het wel zaterdag en heb gewoon een CaS-kaart voor je, maar eerst iets heel anders:
Een tijdje terug ben ik gevraag om Gast Designer bij Inkspirational Challenges te zijn. Helemaal leuk toch! Dus natuurlijk heb ik daar een kaart voor gemaakt die bij de nieuwe uitdaging die daar vandaag start past. Deze kaart van mij is daar dus ook te zien:

A little while ago I've been asked to be Guestdesigner for Inkspirational Challenges. I was honoured they asked me, so I made a card for the challenge that starts today. This is the card that you can see on the Inkspirational Challengesblog aswell:

Oké, en dan weer terug van de wolk waarop ik toch even zat omdat ik gevraagd werd als gastdesigner en terug naar de zaterdag en de uitdaging waar ik steeds aan mee probeer te doen; deze keer wordt bij LIM gevraagd om een stencil en/of maskeren te gebruiken.Kwam dat even mooi uit! Bij de eerste en de tweede kaart die ik je hierboven laat zien heb ik zelf een stencil uit papier gesneden om de regenboog mee te maken! De eerste is een Cas-kaart, dus die doet bij LIM mee!
Oké, back from the cloud where I was sitting on, because I was asked to be a geustdesigner, and back to this saterday and the challenge wich I try to enter every saterday; this time the challenge at LIM is the theme masking or stencilling. That is great! Both cards above I made a stencil out of paper to make the stripes of the rainbow! The first is a CaS-card, so I am entering that one at Lim!

Geboorte Canvas

Zoals alweer een héél, héél hele tijd terug beloofd, zou ik je laten zien wat ik voor kado gemaakt had bij het regenboog geboortekaartje van toen (oei, al in 2012) , maar ben ik totaal vergeten deze te laten zien, dus nu alsnog maar even:

Het canvas is eerst met Gesso en een klein beetje water bewerkt.
De luchtballonnen zijn gemaakt met hetzelfde stencil als die ik voor het regenboog geboortekaartje heb gebruikt.

Voor de bloemen, het gras, de vlinder en libelle heb ik deels stencils gebruikt.
De verf is Toververf en acrylverf.

Magie / Magic

De tekststempel op deze kaart zocht ik al twee jaar en heb ik pas geleden eindelijk kunnen kopen:
The textstamp is one I was looking to buy for two years and recent I finally bought it:

Een kaart gemaakt met een achtergrond van telkens van mijn kraftsheet opgedepte inkt. Hierop een verenstencil gebruikt en metkleurpotlood getekend. Een apart vel bijpassend gesponst door een verenstencil en de tekst erop gezet met paars. De randen met fel roze en zilver gesponst om het bij de achtergrond en de zilverkleurige kaart te laten passen.
A card made with a background from  mopped up ink from my craftsheet. I drawned with a stencil and pencils the feathers. On another piece of paper sponged with DI and a matching stencil and stamped the text in prple. The edges sponged with bright pink and silver to match the background and the silver card.
